Over on the Man City thread they think it's all over. Some suggesting that it's Chelsea's.

If by some miracle we did win it we would be paper champions, think of all the games we only won because the other team didn't show up.

Worst premier league in history quality's so bad this year, very poor league, no team played well or stood out.

Norwich Norwich Norwich, that's all the players need to think about. Forget about the other teams results it's in our hands. Norwich is all that matters.

They are right. We have no chance at all. :)

PLUS we didn't have the distraction of European football...

I fear we are going to need both city and Chelsea to drop some more points against other teams. If they could both even draw another match that would be very nice.

Tonights results show how crazy the league is and we shouldnt be counting on any points before they are won

Almost a certainty that it isn't

Do ye all remember how bad we all felt on January 31st when the Konoplyanko deal fell through and we had signed nobody? That was a meltdown, so what do we call this?

Yes, Ian Ayre and FSG has denied Liverpool any chance of a top 4 finish.

I was amazed how people reacted to the collapse of a transfer of a player that the majority here had never head of before.

Liverpool don not need to win though.

Winning gives us breathing space after tonight. Anyway beat Norwich and we can worry about Chelsea result permutations.

Win our next 2 games and we're playing for the title at Crystal Palace on Monday Night Football. Heads spinning even thinking about the season and how we got here. Absolutely unreal position to be in. :D

That's the beauty of this Liverpool team, they view every team we play as top notch and to be respected and i think that comes from the manager. Don't think they will view Norwich as an easy game. If they go at it like they did last Sunday we are in good shape.

It's the exact game mourinho will relish, a cup final. It's going to be a very tough task beating them but we will be at home. The atmosphere will be unreal. Fans will have a huge part to play.

Beating Norwich that is all that matters right now.

Well done sunderland, pity they couldnt hold on but a draw was still unexpected

No just adding on to what will be said if we go on and win it.

    We might not have to.

But Norwich is the only important game now.

No if city win all their games and we lose to newcastle they could pip us on goal difference

Incredible result today. I have a sinking feeling about the Chelsea game though...

Lose to Newcastle ?? haha - good one! These days no one loses to newcastle , in fact if they even score you deserve a fine.

Palace are surely safe now so that's another positive. The fact sunderland only drew means they will fight harder versus chelsea.

It's probably too much to ask that we beat Chelsea to the title by beating Chelsea. Maybe, maybe not.

They're gonna come at us like rabid dogs. But I've seen us do the same.
