I'm sure I've a lot I could bring to an airline as a pilot and I'd love to fly a 747 but I don't fit the eyesight criteria so it isn't going to happen, I don't consider that discrimination, it's safety and common sense! The army height restriction is no different.

As for going to college and having to pay extra costs? I did an IT course and had to pay quite a fair chunk of cash for a decent spec laptop to do my college work on - that wasn't in the course literature but you just get on with it!
