If Keith Barry was worth his salt and actually was able to carry out the feats he says he can carry out, then he should have known he wasn't going to go on Red FM and stayed in bed instead of zombie driving for 3 hours putting other road users in danger. Brain hacker me hole.

Prendeville couldn't give a flying **** about Barry appearing on the show after he was on a rival station, Barry should have seen him coming.

I can see why Barry was mad.But all was not lost as he was on 96fm.

Figures not known yet, but I suspect he lost 80 to 100,000 listeners and a potentially full house house [or two] or an extra day's bookings out of not appearing on Prendeville's show.

So what you are saying is that all along 100k people listened to Neil on 96fm and he has retained those 100k listeners on his new show on Redfm. So basically,nobody(0 people)heard Keith Barry on 96fm?

    Is that what you're saying?

The reason Prendeville had 100k+ listeners in the first place is that he had no local competition. Now he has.

    Town. Cork is a town.

    It's not a town. It's a "great" town. :D

    He doesn't really.

After reading the posts above, Ive no idea who Prenderville is...
He's a guy who's famous for taking his lad out and having a quick wánk in his seat on a plane. Most famous wánker in Ireland, has a loyal following in cork.

You can murder someone in this country serve a few years and then move somewhere else and start afresh......but heaven forbid you take the oul chap out on an aeroplane it follows you forever!!

Well, if the murderer had a radio show before the event (in which he slated people who'd commit lesser crimes) and after the murder and sentence he then went back on his show, it would continue to follow him around forever!!

If on the other hand, once sentence was served, he decided to move afresh to a new country, he wouldn't hear about it.

At least use a correct analogy if you want to defend the guy.

Travel 3 hours from Dublin to be told to f off.

    I'd be pretty mad myself.

I am pretty mad about him doing that as is. Driving with such lack of sleep is worse than driving on a couple of pints.

there is no way anyone would take it out on a plane unless they were not in full control of themselves. Other than a pervert of course.

In fairness I'd tell your man to **** off if he came to my workplace wanting to show me his "magic".

Don't get the attention he gets, been to one of his shows, thought it was the biggest spoof one could possibly pay money to see

So he drove down to Cork from Dublin, then back up to Dublin, and then back down to Cork the next day? Doubt it.

My understanding is he came to Cork for a series of interviews and radio show appearances.

He did at least one interview and appeared on the PJ show and was cancelled the same day from Red FM.

SO that was one spin down to Cork and it was not exclusively for Red FM. It rarely is, a string if interviews and photocalls would usually be arranged in advance and most likely he'd shoot a poster for the Opera House unless they'd use a stock image.

So in that regard I'd disagree with Mr Prendeville, he knows the business as well as I do, BUT, Neil has the right to choose his guests and I'd agree that someone on 96Fm should not be on Red FM ~ a solution there might have been to record the interview and let it out later.

It does become quite boring reading and watching the exact same interview and video footage of say Mr O'Connell meeting the Queen recently.

I disagree with Cork being treated as second class, that's a flyer by Prenders, but not having the same guest on his show is his business and I agree on that part.

This whole story is a nonsense. Nobody cares about either of those useless idiots.

If you could avoid answering for everybody, that'd be great

Curious which show you went to see and why you felt it was a 'spoof'?

I find it hard to believe a thing Keith Barry says.
    He's more of a bull****ter than a magician.
You can't "hack" into someones brain.
His tricks also are very drawn out and the end result is very dull. A ten minute piece to reveal a card from an envelope is just a little boring for me.

Keith Barry's appearance on Neil Prendeville's show was cancelled as Barry wanted to do the same magic trick on rival station 96fm.

The day after his 96fm appearance he turned up at the REDFM studios giving a fake name for some reason to reception and demanding to be put on air.

When he was denied entering the studio he launched into a foul mouthed rant at female staff and how he would start a ****storm on twitter and destroy everybody at REDFM.

That is the tale Neil Prendeville gave earlier so we can await Barry's reply.

Crazy behaviour from a guy who comes across as pretty decent.

Sooo how are things going over at red fm

On the KC show this morning the banter when something like this "Hey! didn't you appear on one of his shows? Yes I was a student going to college and one morning with a ferocious head from drink study I was walking past and this guy shouts, YOU, you there with the napsak.

Me you effin talking to me, who the ell you thin you are. Think of a colour he said, I thought of yellow. YELLOW? No ya eejet I said. Think of a relative, I though of my uncle Joe. You're thinking of Joe> No I'm not ya bolx, you're not very good at this stuff are ye and I walked away."

    More or less like. :)

Jerry Ryan in some ways, but without the 40k habit.

    George Hook perhaps?

Just read the whole thread and the arguement is as biased as a man fighting with himself in the mirror

All the op has done is say how fab prenderville and completely downplaying his stroke on a plane..he/she then continues to beat tne drum that barry is a dick..

Its as obvious as the nose on your face that the OP has some form of affiliation to either red fm or neil prenderville...

Well, apart from my informative post a little earlier, I too fly the Prendeville Flag.

A thought to keep in mind in mind is that Mr Prendeville had some 80 to 114, 000 listeners from a possible total of 150,000 and on special occasions he'd get almost 100% of the potential audience.

So he does have a lot of followers, there need not be any other agenda, other than that. IMO. :)

I know nothing about Barry, I too would not have recognised him if he turned up at my door. I have heard of him.

    IMO he was very unprofessional.

It still might have been a PR stunt, Neil's team are creative in that way.

Of course prenderville is a cute whore

Sure he cleaned up with 96 fm with the subliminal messages...

    Probably John Duffy.
