Paddy Power would disagree with you

Paddy power base their odds on betting patterns as much as anything. Liverpool having shorter odds reflects them not wanting to go bankrupt if they win the league ;-)

Well with the level of a disagreement here maybe I'm wrong, anyway time will tell, hopefully if Sakho continues in the team he ramps up the beastmode.

Whatever about Sakho's passing ability, Mignolet was shocking again with his kicking. There was an incident yesterday where he lamped the ball straight at Gerrard just outside the box. His command of the box was a bit ropey at times too. For all that was said against Reina he was actually one of the best passers of a football we had at the club. Could pick out 60 yards pasees off his hands or off the ground. Always found it strange that Rodgers didnt stick with him as he wants to implement the passing from the back gameplan.

Mig pulled off a great save from Fernadihno and in my view overall this season been a great buy.
He needs to come off his line quicker but I wouldn't be too worried about his passing. That can be easily worked on but slowing reactions and a general decline in ability can not be worked on.

Who would have thought, that with four games to go, Liverpool are the only team with their destiny in their own hands?

We don't need other teams to slip up. Look after ourselves, we look after the title. Simple as that.

I can't wrap my head around it. Unprecedented for me. Unprecedented and completely unexpected.

Chelsea are as well. Chelsea win all their remaining games and they'll win the league.

Because Reina's shot stopping was pathetic in the last few seasons, its like playing Agger cause he can play the ball from the back only he cant defend for toffee.

His kicking might have been a bit off, but he pulled off an amazing save against fernandinho.

    NO!

If Chelsea win all.......and City win all, City finish 1 point ahead.

But it does make for a bloody incredible end to a season.

This was always a myth for me. Reina had a great, fast throw to release a counter but when he had the ball at his feet it was pass to Agger, back to Reina, pass to Skrtel, back to Reina, hoof up field as an attacker closed him down. That's not playing out from the back.

Not true, Chelsea need City to drop points for that to happen

    from BBC
    • Liverpool will win the Premier League title if they win their remaining four games.
    • The Reds would also win it if they win three and draw against Chelsea - as long as Manchester City do not take maximum points.
    • City will finish top if they win their last six games and Liverpool drop at least two points.
    • Chelsea will lift the title if they take maximum points from their last four games and City fail to win all of their remaining fixtures

Is there a joke im missing out on, with the amount of people who posted this?

City are 5 points behind Chelsea with 2 games in hand

If City win their remaining games they will finish above Chelsea regardless of what Chelsea do

Ah right, thanks. Would hate to see Chelsea win the league if we don't so that's a small bit of good news I suppose.

Lads here's a quick heads up

    Liverpool GP 34 PTS 77
    Chelsea GP 34 PTS 75
Man City GP 32 PTS 70

If Liverpool win all their games they are champions.

If Chelsea win all their games they need Man City to drop points.

Man City need liverpool to drop points and to win all their games to win the league.

    Here again.

They need City to drop points aswell. The only team with in there hands is Liverpool.

IF city won there games in hand, they would be today on 76, Chelsea 75 and us on 77. If we loose to Chelsea and Man City win the same weekend its back in there hands.

I watched a YouTube video of our 2012/13 season the other day. Have to say I was shocked at how many goals Reina was at fault for.
Think I must have had the blinkers on to not fully realise it at the time, maybe because Reina was always one of my favourite Liverpool players.

I still miss Reina's distribution skills and his footballing ability but Mignolet is miles better at keeping the ball out of the back of the net then Reina has been these last few years. And I think that's proving to be a more important attribute this season.

I really hope Mignolet can develop his footballing skills over the next few years and become more of a complete package but for now he's doing a good job.

    I'd be happy with

    Mig
    Johnson-Skrtel-Sakho-Flanagan
    Gerrard

    Lucas
    Coutinho
    Sterling - Suarez

Lucas was good in the diamond when he came on against West Ham and Sterling's pace is a match for Sturridge's any day.

It has to be this. It still gives us enough threat with the 3 up top, three ball-players in midfield and a reliable back 4. Less options from the bench if we need to dip into it, will be hoping that Aspas, Moses and Teixeira can step in if needed...

When you see how Kompany played yesterday, you quickly realise that no defender is perfect.

    Skrtel and Sakho were fine.

Kompany has been playing like that for a long time- I was delighted when he was announced fit for the game.

No because if Man City win all theirs then they will win (If Chelsea beat Liverpool!)

chelsea need to beat us and have to come at us, which will play into our hands I feel. Im convinced the Ev will get a result from city so if we draw against chelsea and win the other 3, we win the league.

If anyone has the know-how to beat us it'll be Mourinho. He has made an art out of strangling opponents and getting tight wins in big matches.

Lets get Norwich out of the way first...then we can worry about Chelsea

Yep same deal, Norwich will not roll over easily. Especially because:

A: They have a new manager
    B: They're fighting in a relegation battle.

I'm not a player or manager, so I don't need to focus on the next game only and can talk about the Chelsea game without affecting our form.
I still don't understand that, from a fan point of view :/

The whole Chelsea game is played in a completely different light if we f**k up against Norwich though!

Just not getting carried away yet. Plenty that can still change in the title race. There could be huge changes in the next 7 days. We could be 2nd next Monday night with City having a game in hand, or we could be 10 points clear of City, 5 clear of Chelsea.

Keeping my feet firmly planted in the here and now, and that's Norwich
