car has been very hard to start lately, mostly when warm.. at this stage nearly everything has been checked, pump, injectors, starter, coolant temp sensor, non return valve all those things etc. id like to know if anyone has had similar experiences with this car, always well serviced with oils and filters at recommended intervals. car now has 176k miles, chiped as well if this would make any difference.

Could be a multiple of things, have you had it scanned for faults? Can you be more specific on the fault like exactly when it happens and under what conditions.

Was the cts tested properly, i'd probably replace it anyway if its never been done. How was the starter tested, brushes? Battery ok? Did it get any timing work recently? How does it run when started? Glow plugs and system ok? Diesel filter changed? Compression ok? Egr working properly and intake manilfold clean? Like I said lots of things.

Crank shaft sensor, neigh on impossible to start when warm but normal when cold.
Except once the car was warmed up it would stall and it needs to cool down a bit before it can restart.
Diagnostics only thing that can tell you though.
