The only worry I'd have about Chelsea is their ability to strangle us. They may not offer a huge amount up front but they will make themselves hard to break down and hope to nick one on the counter or from a set piece.

I definitely don't see us losing the game. That said Chelsea need to win and will have to take some risks which could pay dividends to us if we are patient.

Norwich is another massive game first and no one should look past that.

I think Chelsea's weaknesses are on show to see, but I feel Moaninho will still have the last laugh. Hate to say it, but I'm still waiting for the bubble to burst.

Other than their inability to score goals, what other weaknesses do you feel they have??

They don't have enough fit centre backs to field a full 11 of them.

3 wins and a draw against Chelsea might even be enough to do it. But then you are depending on City dropping points in at least one of their remaining games. Probably at Everton.

I'd be more confident if we had a fit Sturridge and Henderson wasn't suspended.

My post might have made it sound like they were shabby or something. I meant they have weaknesses that can be exploited, I find that they can be inconsistent in their focus. They lost against Crystal Palace and Villa, like... But they beat City at the Ethihad and sorted PSG out.

They bigger the game, the better they are and they'll be a dose at Anfield.

Just when you thought Mourinho couldn't get any more odious.

    Despicable little man.

The thing I dislike about mourinho is his clothes. His coats are some of the worst I've seen in the premier league this year. Really let's his club down.

I thought straight red was 1 game and 3 is for violent conduct.

Appreciate the effort and analysis but I think the emotion of the day and the way the game went just throws all this type of stuff out the window.

Man City are a great side and have the ability to control games and come back from behind.
Winning titles is never going to be easy and without bumps.

My only concern from today's game is Sturridge does not seem to be on form despite now possibly being injured and how will we be without Henderson for 3 games?

The poignancy of the day probably did have an effect - we looked pretty drained after 70 and Henderson's tackle was clearly a result of that.
But even that is a lesson in itself.

The players are mostly pretty young and of course that means they're liable to look like rabbits caught in the headlights every now and again but we just haven't allowed that to even matter in most games this season because we've been so far better than most teams and usually been out of sight.

This City team is a team of veterans. Other teams would've keeled over and had their bellies tickled at 2-0. City swung back at us and we don't have much experience of handling that.
But having got there one way or the other in the end will build character and belief. Maybe next time we won't piss ourselves - maybe we'll chill out and bore the opposition to death instead, or maybe our youngsters will naturally progress into being more clinical.

The talent on show today was immense. The execution, finesse and that extra few % that consistently great teams have was off, but the only thing that builds that are the hard lessons learned from failure or the confidence given from success.
You could almost look at the team as a sort of entity of it's own. This new team that Rodgers has built is a sort of child prodigy. But it's still a child and needs plenty of maturing.

Yeah does no violent conduct mean only one game . Do we have to wait on the fa to confirm this?

    That tackle comes under violent/dangerous.

    He'll miss 3.

    :(

In cases where you are last man back and pull a guy down or deliberately handle the ball that's only 1 match.

Isn't going over the ball like that considered violent conduct?

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is playing the best football of his career after a heroic midfield performance, thinks Peter Fraser

Did we win our first 9 or 10 games in '89 or '90?

Forget about the Chelsea game for now, seriously. Norwich. That's the sole focus.

what a game. In Sterling & Coutinho i think we have 2 of the best youngsters in the world.
    2 big game players too.

Ya, that Hendo tackle is definitely 3 games. Stupid tackle probably fuelled by adrenaline, but no complaints.

Allen or Lucas in for Henderson?

Allen is a little more creative so I'd probably go with him.

It'll be Allen I suspect. He's done well in recent weeks. It's good to have options though.

It'll be a pity to see the likes of him and Falcao miss out on the world cup if it's serious.

Sorry to contradict you but deliberate hand ball is no longer a red card....apparently!
