As far as I know, under the skin is quicking acting. Deep into the muscle, would give a slower, but longer acting release of the drug.

Says here it is into the muscle.
    http://www.noahcompendium.co.uk/V_AOk-toquinol_UK_Ltd/Reprocine_0_07_mg_ml_solution_for_injection_for_cattle_and_pigs/-40123.html

Would it not be the other way round. More of the drug would be absorbed from the muscle and would it not be quicker.

I would have always thought under the skin- subcutanous injection to be faster, more capillaries under the skin so it would be absorbed into the bloodstream quickly. Have to visit vets on monday to drop in samples to send so I will ask.

I am wrong- Google says that JO is correct!

On another (slightly related) topic. Seen cows out that had been obviously Trodaxed recently. The stain at the back of the shoulder gave it away, but why does it seem to weep so much after injecting? Or it it just the trodax staining the hair.
    Incorrectly put under the skin?
Bitch to wash off your skin if you get some on it, nearly as bad as iodine :(
What you are seeing, as you said, is weeping. Happens a lot in s/c injections but we seldom notice it because there is no colour present.
Sold some FR bullocks this morning and the lad buying them was delighted to see that they had been dosed, as in, you could still see the yellow stain from the Trodax.

As a student it makes life a little easier, would be lucky to have change from 70-80 euro on a night out without!

OK gang - please no more discussion on what may have happened today. The mods have been spending their day clearing posts from threads to keep them flowing normally. Anymore off topic, or discussions on this subject is going to result in action being taken as this is adding an unwelcome overhead to moderating the forums here.

I am removing all but the remaining post above, but that is it, we don't want to see anymore discussion on a poster who is no longer here to answer for themselves.

    Thanks
    Taltos

Update: bbam - I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you posted not seeing this due to timing, but I cannot stress enough we don't want to see anymore references now. Trust me on this.
