Id have eight pints at a relaxed pace over the night and would be ok if tired. Most ive had volume wise was around 16 pints. I suffered, Ill say that now. Most ive had potency wise was a few pints followed with a bottle of vodka. Never, ever again.

How much you can drink is no measure of how much a man you are. If you believe it to be itll be a life waisted.

    on the bog :P

2 medium glasses of wine ( about half a bottle)is my absolute maximum, and one of those with a meal, if I had a third I would be seriously sick the next day, soooo not worth it.

Everyone in my family is pretty much the same, one or two drinks is all we can handle. One of our family friends who we socialise with is so different- he's a big guy, 6' 4'' and heavy build, and he can drink maybe 10/12 pints on one evening and still stay standing

My husband is 6' 4'' ( normal build though) and drinks the same as me. I think he'd die if he drank like our friend!:D

Years ago I used to drink a litre of vodka as Predrinks and then god knows what when out..madness.

Nowadays a naggin and I'd be struggling to remember my name.

Depends on how tired I am/hungry etc.

Last week I had 8 pints of Bulmers and I was just a bit merry.
That's not "normal" for me though. My cut-off is normally 6.
I must have had a good day!

I drink wine at home and could only drink a bottle and a half of white before I'd be locked.

I could drink a bottle of red wine and feel full, but not drunk.

Apparently every pint shortens your life by 2 minutes, and every shot shortens your life by 5 minutes.

I've done the calculations, and it turns out I've been dead since 1896.

If that was the case, I'd dead since early 1800s.

Could easily hit double figures on pints.

Once I get to my fourth pint I just hit a wall. I literally cannot stomach anymore than that. And I wouldn't even be that drunk, I just feel too full.

You should take a piss to make room for more.

Way too much than I'm comfortable with.put it this way,I was at a house party recently and drank 16 bottles of coors light and a half litre of Jameson and was just about nicely buzzed.I go off drink for a few weeks at a time because my tolerance goes too high.I envy people who get drunk after a couple of pints.

I go out maybe 3 or 4 times a year and would drink up to 15 bottles of corona and maybe a few shorts at the end of the night. I wouldn't be drunk but fairly tipsy and I'd be near death the following day. I never drink at home but if I did then I could probably drink considerably more when I do go out.

I'd spend half the night pissing TBH. I remember years ago I was in my local and there was an old man in the jax with his lad in one hand and a pint in the other, literally drinking and pissing at the same time. I thought to myself he has the right idea.

A litre of vodka as predrinks? Sorry, absolutely refuse to believe that.

I can drink a full bottle of vodka over the space of 5-6 hours OK but I'm out the count at the end of it, not a chance I'd be able put pints on top of that. And I would consider myself a heavy enough drinker at that.

Someone drinking a litre of spirits (that is almost 30 shots) before they even head out is either being incredibly dramatic, doesn't know what they were drinking, or is the worlds hardest drinker.

Believe what you want. I drank 3 or 4 times a week and was 23 stone. The vodka would happen at least once a week, I'm more than aware what I was drinking.

When I was in my 20's I could drink over 10 pints no bother, now 4 at the most and I'm full.

id have 15 pints no problem,20 even, but not in 3 hours. There was a similar thread a while back and i got slated for saying same. There is either a lot of lightweights that post here or a lot of liars :) Google. 'Andre the giant drinking habits' if you want to see some frightening stats. They guy was a legend when it came to the noble art of getting thrashed.

Yeah and dead in his 40's.

Yeah and dead in his 40's.

He actually died from a genetic thing, not the drink. Do your homework on him.

2 strong drinks later and I have the giggles.

4 and I'm feeling no pain.

    Never went beyond that.

Last night I had 6 cans of smithwicks, one can of some mystery lager, and three pints of different fancy ales in the pub. First drink at about 9pm and last at about 6am.

2 and a half bottles and I'm fit for bed!

I know what he died from actually so don't assume I don't, the point I was making was the drink didn't help him though.

so you've never spent the whole day in a pub? 15 pints over the course of a day is no biggy, and so what if its 70 or 80 quid if your in the right place in the right company its well worth it.Spending 70 or 80 on pints in three hours is just gluttony though.

    Bullshyte.

The important thing is slowing down when you start to feel it.

    Bullshyte.

your username would suggest that you wouldn't be the worlds highest authority on the subject of drinkin, but trust me 15-20 pints spread out over a whole day is not that much

A nagen of vodka and a can is a pretty good drunk for me.

Or a low percentage bottle of wine (11%) and a can.

I don't know I always lose count after 15 pints

I'm not sure but I'd guess about 9/10 pints over the space of about 6 hours?

    I don't count it.

Hardly ever drink pints nowadays, but reckon I could have 5 or 6 fairly safely.

A bottle of wine is no prob. Bottle & a half is about the limit though.

2 bottles & I'd be good for nothing the next day.

Used to be able to knock it back big time but in recent years it affects me more.

Used to drink rakes of vodka - not a drop now; it's horrific stuff, like nail varnish remover! Used to be able to drink loads of Bulmers, I just think it's pukey stuff now - I'd have the very odd bottle of Swedish berry cider only. Used to be able to hoover back white wine - cannot drink white wine full stop now; I can drink a bottle of good-quality red or sparkly wine though.

I could mix drinks not a bother. Mixing drinks now is a no-no. Mild stuff like one stout in the middle of a bunch of beers isn't too bad, but I'll still feel a little bit off-colour next day.
