Neff fridge

    Hi

    I have a neff American style fridge freezer- the fridge part of the unit is working ok, but the freezer seems to be warmer than usual, and the ice machine doesn't seem to be working at all- the fridge is only 5 years old, and has not been in use for 3 of the 5 years. Can you suggest any reason for this problem? It's a quality product and would expect it to work for 10 -15 years.

    This is something that is not easy to diagnose over the internet, ideally you need a good refrigeration engineer to have a look at it, the worst case scenario is that the unit has a gas leak due to the fact that you have used it and then laid it up long term, that is if I have read your description correctly. You could remove the back panel and check the condenser for dust and observe if the fan is running. if it seems ok you could feel the narrowest of the two pipes coming off the compressor while running it should feel quite hot especially with one of the doors open, if not hot good chance of leak.
