Any recommendations for a course in the Portlaoise area?

You wont go wrong with The Heritage, quality course designed my Seve and hosted the Seve Trophy in the past (GB&I V'S Europe). Good deals to be had there too

Agree with the heritage, but as another option I'd recommend portarlington which is about 20 mins away from portlaouise, great parkland track with some cracking tree-lined holes...

you also have The Heath which is a great test of golf, pity about the sheep though,
theres portarlington too which is a cracking course too.
the Heritage is nice too, but itsnever one I've liked playing.

Mountrath, great little members course, nice clubhouse, good food. Always enjoyed playing there and at €20 green fee (on weekends) you can't go wrong.

Three rounds for you, Portarlington, Portarlington and then Portarlington, fantastic under rated course
