I'd go back and see if Jesus really existed.

I'd like to see ancient Rome but I'd wonder how I'd be received. I basically look like a northern barbarian, I'd probably be taller than 90% of people around at the time. The smell of an ancient city would probably have me on the verge of spewing the whole time and maybe my teeth and glasses would make me look like some sort of demigod.

Would people run away screaming at the site of me or grovel before me?

America during the cuban missile crisis in the 1960s. The closest thing to the world actually ending. I wonder how fear was felt in a city like NYC

Last Friday around 6pm with the winning Euromillions numbers.

50's America could be interesting to visit as a white man. A period of real economic exuberance and optimism. Mid 90's Palo Alto would be a fantastic period to go back to if you wanted to make astronomical amounts of money: even the janitor from the original eBay staff is a multi-millionaire.

Back to the MAYANs, tell em that their calender was wrong and that all their human sacrifices were for nothing.
More importantly, back about 35 years, find me and give myself a good talking to.

Did the Mayans speak English?......guessing you'd end up as sacrifice number 1 on that day! :)

April 2007 - and sell my entire Bulgarian/Irish buy-to-let property portfolio.

I'd go back to 2007 and stop myself from making the biggest mistake of my life.
Other than that I'd go back to the mid to late 90's and buy stock in one of the dot com start up but I will make sure I write a note to sell before the dot com bubble burst. Then I'd come back today where I'd be rich:D

You'd think so but I'd bet they'd want to consult the gods first, they were a very superstitious people. That should give me enough time to explain steel and soap.

I'd go back to before time began.
