    Anyone following the coverage?

RTÉ have decamped to London and Berkshire and left Keelin Shanley behind.

Bride Rosney in studio spending more time talking about Mary Robinson's trips to the UK than whats going on today.

We need Kay Burley on the job.

It'll be interesting to see how much coverage this gets in the British media. Full State visits happen twice a year and most of the time you'd hardly know they've happened.

Absolute pain in the arse if you work in Windsor.

That stage looks like the reviewing stand for our local Paddy's Day Parade.

Cue a load of tractors, quad bikes and lawnmowers to be driven by any minute advertising Windsor Motors.

Nor did you speak too much.
You had broken an attendant’s glasses,
    The holy nurse told me,
    When you were admitted.
Your father is a very difficult man,
As you must know. And Social Welfare is slow
And if you would pay for the glasses,
    I would appreciate it.
It was 1964, just after optical benefit
Was rejected by De Valera for poorer classes
In his Republic, who could not afford,
    As he did
    To travel to Zurich
For their regular tests and their
    Rimless glasses.

    What a man!

And Westminster when they happen there.

Feckin noise of the guns salutes in Green Park.

At the risk of spoiling the love-in, no I'm not watching it (in work anyway) and have no interest in it.

    You're not spoiling anything.

If you're not watching it and have no interest in it then nobody here gives a fuck.

So if Gilmore, Kenny and Higgins are all in Windsor, who has control of all the nukes?

    Looks well alright.

Those cavalry always scrub up well.

So weird seeing Gilmore waving to crowds from an open carriage..... Imagine doing same here!

Lucky Mike D is a small man.

Or would have banged his head off the roof of the carriage when he stood for the anthem just there.

I'm sure Gilmore has waved from the back of many an open truck in many paddys day parades !

Was listening to it on the radio just now - is it just me or did the brass band turn our anthem into an end-of-pier knees-up? I'm not at all patriotic; the anthem is an alright piece of music when sung with the full voice of a stadium, but not with the farting bassline trolling of tuba and a few sarcastic trumpet flourishes. :)

Seems to be a big crowd lining the route in Windsor from the still pics I'm getting of the net. Wonder if they're all Irish, wonder if we could use this opportunity to take over the castle....nah never mind, it'd be too expensive.

    Gwan Mickey D ya ledge.

More national anthems than an All Ireland Sunday.

Was hoping Prince Phil the Greek would shout 'Up Galway' at the end of one of them !

I'd love to hear what Sabrina is asking the Queen.

How is that an inspection by the way, Michael D is not even looking at them?

    Nice Dag !

Yep, you gotta hand it to them.

They do put on a good show.

    I love all the horses.
