At a 5K local race last night, two car parks 150m and 250m from registration/finish area, Needless to say first one filled early so everyone was directed to second one.

Passing after the race and some t**l had parked in the access lane of first car park in such a way that he blocked it up and neither he nor anyone else could get out as he seemed incapable of reversing properly.

WTF, you came to run so 100m extra warmup would hardly kill you.

Meanwhile in Sheffield....half marathon cancelled at literally the last minute due to shortage of water. Some runners are trying to run it anyway with the police putting up roadblocks to stop them.

Check out Sheffieldstar on Twitter. Apparently runners have taken off their numbers and are running the race anyway.

I think the police are leaving the road closures in place due to the amount of rogue runners rather than trying to stop them.

LOL. Energy drink for people who don't want to add any extra calories :D

Better than the red bull lite that I was offered after one race, possibly the worst idea I've across as a recovery drink.

It wouldn't happen in Mayo;) Trouble is down here every one wants to stop for a conversation on how far you're going!

I have had an international athlete do the same only after they said on twitter a few weeks prior to that about the exact same thing i.e people not acknowledging the other runner.

    +1 on that!

A few weeks back, I was running a regular route I do which is a tiny, narrow, quiet rural back road. Anytime on it, people always say hello, whether runners, walkers or just people living along the road.

I was in great form, lovely bright day and the run going well. Came towards a man walking towards me, and gave him a big friendly "good morning". Pr1ck never even looked at me. Put me in sh1t form for the rest of the run!

The sight savers ad that seems to be on a loop on sky sports news. FFS it's monday, I don't need this depressing sh!t.

And while I'm on the topic, why did the cameraman or narrator not rush to the aid of the little African boy? they could clearly see that he was rubbing his eyes with a manky t-shirt and actually commented that it could blind him.

Why didn't they give him a clean cloth or sock or something???? Problem solved.

Idiots that seem to think a Western Rail Corridor makes economic sense.

    That winds me right up.

What is the actual point of pedestrian lights in this country? If you are a pedestrian you press the button, wait up to 60 seconds and eventually weave across the road when there is a break in traffic.

Meanwhile if you are a motorist, you come along 30 seconds later and need to stop for 60 seconds even though there is no pedestrian anywhere around, what is the actual point?

According to Michael Ring last night we will be cycling everywhere when he has finished along side the railway tracks, we will be one big green way! Where exactly is the western rail corridor because I don't see many in the west getting to worried about it?

WRC runs full stretch Sligo to Galway to Limerick. There's a right band of WRC fanatics slap bang in the middle who are waiting for the trains to come bearing riches for the region

    100 years too late, methinks.

Seems to be good developments Galway westwards.

OBLIG RANT - that stupid Athenry to Limerick train is running again after being stopped as the lines were flooded in the storms. Been caught 3 times driving and once cycling having to wait at a level crossing for an empty train to pass

If they took up the rails it would make a smashing cycle way along the west!

And if you're a cyclist, you just ignore them completely.
