Hi, my daughter is 11 years old and is dyslexic. I was looking for a spell check program for her laptop. Has anyone any advice or has anyone used one? Thanks.

The problem with a spell check is that it doesn't understand the difference between night and knight, it will suggest words -but if the child has dyslexia, they may not know which is the correct one.

Have you considered speech to text software like Dragon Naturally Speaking for her?

Will she have a spelling and grammar waiver for secondary?

I hope she will have the waiver. She has the Irish exemption. Thanks for the reply.

Try ginger software or read and write gold. My study bar is also useful.

Hi, my son is dyslexic (JC year) he uses speech recognition on his mobile phone to write words, which has saved buying separate software and he finds excellent.
