I met my mum and aunts for brunch today and we headed to Avoca where all four of us ordered the mushrooms on toasted cheese bread - yum!

For the day that's in it.....

Mrs Gloomster got treated to poached eggs on toasted muffin with hollandaise sauce and smoked salmon. Served with a mug of tea on a tray in bed of course. :)

I just had my brekkie. It was a sesame bagel with cheddar. And a litre of 7up. Quite an efficient hangover cure. :)

I had a bagel with cream cheese and crispy smoked bacon. And a can of Club Orange. And a cup of tea.

Yesterday, I had a fried egg sandwich with Aldi's jalapeno pepper relish on granary bread. Delish! Served with a pot of strong coffee, it made a very effective hangover cure. I see a lot more fried egg sandwiches in my future :)

Also the lady behind the counter was on her first day there and asked could she have some soup on her break and was told no.

    That is really stingy. :(

Suppose she could have bought some though...

An over easy egg, generously sprinkled with salt accompanied by two slices of butter-fried bread. No pics, demolished almost immediately.

So delish, I love weekend breakfasts.

Sweet potato baked oatmeal with warm milk and mixed dried fruit.

This morning it was the usual - porridge with dried cranberries, grated apple, a good dollop of apple sauce and some maple syrup for a little sweetness. That may change soon though, as my regular source of dried cranberries seems to have *ahem* dried up..

Spanish omelette for me and the OH; a whole stack of pancakes and maple syrup for the two teenage boy eating machines in the house!

Very late brunch because breakfast was a double shot vanilla latte - a beanless and slightly tweaked version of Smitten Kitchen's baked ranchero eggs. Very easy, positively virtuous and filling. Must make up for that later. Wine o'clock should be soonish.

My usual breakfast of 2 boiled eggs with a gooey not runny centre, and a slice of brown soda bread.

I have bananas and ground almonds for paleo pancakes tomorrow.

2 slices wholegrain brown bread topped with peanut butter (crunchy) sliced bananas, drizzled with honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon... Feckin delish!

I always just have cereal with low fat milk. Maybe once a week or so I might have a few sausages and less often some brown soda bread.
This needs to change soon as I have to add more fibre to my diet.

Nespresso latte and sausage sambo: turkey sausages on granary toast spread thickly with guacamole. Set up for the day, I am.
