Ok AH, they say everyone has has their price, and I want to you know what's yours? How much cash would it take for you to take what would be considered a decent amount?

I know we were educated that it's one hit and you're addicted, but that's bull in fairness.

I think E20,000 seems about right for me.

    I'd do it for free.

One hit and addicted is complete bull so I'd like to try the experience.

No amount of money. Maybe a terminal illness.

I would seriously do it for free if it came from a decent source.

For free, I wouldn't mind trying it. The whole thing about it being addictive the first time you take it is merely anti drug propaganda.

In the past I would have paid to do it. Nowadays, no money, I have been in recovery for 3 years.

Haven lived in an apartment complex in inner city dublin for a few years it really is the worst drug considering the customers who are targeted. Dealers / suppliers deserve execution

    Ok.

I would have sex with Charlize Theron to try heroin. Honestly can't see any downsides to that.

Addicts have told me it is not addictive from the first hit, but it is a.m.a.z.i.n.g like to warmest nicest feeling ever and you spend the rest of your life trying to find the feeling again. that is the addiction.

If I got the news I was terminally ill with something extremely painful id try it. I'd spend my last few days hanging around o Connell street centra or goofing off down the back of the 27 bus. Actually come to think of it the pain relief the hospital would give me would probably be opium based anyway so no need....

You could not pay me any amount of money to try it.

Cold turkey sounds easy, until you check out how many have died going cold turkey. Also, you may never feel "normal" again, without it. This is one reason why so many keep taking it.

A 100% guarantee that I'd be dead in a few weeks even if I didn't.

To be truly effective, a good narcotics agent must know and love narcotics. In fact, a good narcotics agent should have narcotics in his blood.

For the way most people carry on nowadays , I think the question should be "How much for you to give up the heroin?"

That applies to people who have taken it over long periods, where their bodies have come to expect the drug. Not relevant for someone who has taken it for the first time

Having seen numerous people die from heroin addiction, no amount of money in the world would make me try it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,746 ✭✭✭Flippyfloppy

It would cost my life, family, job, all my life savings, my house, my health my dignity.

So no amount would persuade me. It would just go right back into hands of the dealers like?!

100mill and I'd defo take it. I don't have an addictive streak so I'd be ok IMO

Tried it once, strong stuff, was enjoyable to an extent but I threw up a lot. Apparently that's a common enough experience for a first timer.

That was ten years ago and I've never once got the inkling to go again.

You can't die during cold turkey.

Either of these extremes are what I'd be afraid of, so I probably wouldn't (maybe if I became a multi-millionaire I would, so... I wouldn't. :)).
