Just got a soanking new r9 290 (things a beast ) was thinking of upgrading the processor down the line , I know my psu will handle it but will the board ,

The shoe fits but can it handle it ?
I know it's not enthusiasts board but will it crumble under the voltage ?

Id like to think so but 220W tdp wow! thats like a whole extra FX8150 strapped on :/

fwiw, it can take the older 140W phenx4 but id still wait for msi to confirm compatibility before splashing cash.

    EDIT:

    actually, dont use that board?
