The studio was uprooted by a gang of Rogue Traders, taken out into Dublin Bay and set loose to sink or swim, according to its fate. The occupants carried on, blissfully unaware that their destiny rested on a single phone call (which might, or might not, be recorded by the Guards), all the time cracking dreadful jokes, pitiful gags and miserable anecdotes, while the clock ticked remorselessly on past 3pm.

Do you fancy giving up all the rights and improvements that unions brought over the years? I certainly don't.
