reseting reillo oil burner

    I am having to reset my oil burner from time to time. Sometimes the red light is on but not always. Had a new pump fitted last year. Fires up after being reset on first go. Any ideas.

    When was it last serviced and did you get a print out of the flue gas analysis ?

    serviced about this time last year when pump got changed. Never got a flue gas analysis

    when you say pump do you mean circulating pump or fuel pump on burner

    It was the fuel pump that got replaced.
    I press the red button and it fires up. Most of the time it has the red light others its not lit up

    I would suggest that you get the boiler serviced, if you did not get a print out of the flue gases then you can't be sure its been set up correctly after the pump was fitted and it could be costing you money along with the possibility of it being unsafe.

    Always insist on a print out of flue gas analysis its standard practice and anyone who does not have such equipment should not be touching the boiler.
