    Laxey loan cancelled

Good news for rangers, it was a horrific deal.

Any word on other finance or why it's not needed anymore?

They have taken the loan offered by the fan. Dave King is back in town bumping his gums so we will see what transpires if anything

Hedge fund Laxey stood to make £150,000 in either interest or shares, while the payment drops to £45,000 with Letham.

The loan remains secured against Edmiston House and Albion car park.

Football club chairman Sandy Easdale is providing an interest-free loan of £500,000, also secured against the properties adjacent to Ibrox Stadium.

A much better deal but it doesnt change the situation one bit

Rangers announced on Monday Under-20s league matches against Celtic will take place in private due to the costs of the "high level of police presence dictated by Police Scotland".

"This is primarily due to the high level of police presence dictated by Police Scotland and the resulting costs of such required policing."

The decision will affect an Under-20s game against Celtic on Monday at Murray Park.

Yer really starting to count the pennies now!

You do realise the Celtic home tie is also behind closed doors, counting the pennies as well?

I do realise that but I dont see Celtic making public statements complaining about the costs of policing u20 fixtures, do you?

Considering some of the stuff that happened at previous youth games between the clubs, are you surprised ?

A big police presence (for which a club has to pay) for a youth game is ridiculous.

Apparently police said they would need 3 times as many officers as normally, only normal that both clubs would refuse to pay that.

After the shambles of the youth cup final last year it's not surprising both teams are playing there home games behind closed doors

Not surprising at all but the the rangers have clearly stated that cost of staging the game was the main reason for their reluctance.

Costs which were caused by what happened last year.

I still don't see the problem in using it as a reason to hold it behind closed doors, pretty sure for Celtic it's the exact same reason yet they simply keep quiet about it.

    Financial results out today.

Catastrophic reading by the looks of it.

    Rang3rs just around the corner.

What do the bears think of their mid year financial announcement?

Not even trading two years and you're in serious trouble just like your predecessor.

ALLY McCoist has expressed his unease after fresh doubts were raised over the ability of Rangers to continue trading without the threat of liquidation.

The publication of Rangers’ interim accounts on Thursday was accompanied by warnings from chairman David Somers, endorsed by accountants Deloitte, that “material uncertainty” existed in relation to the Ibrox club’s financial operations if season ticket income for the 2014-15 campaign is not forthcoming.

Rangers fans are stuck between a rock and a hard place, do they stop throwing money at the club and allow it to die and set up another new club or do they continue throwing money at people who appear to be acting for themselves first. What will the rangers fans here be doing?

Given the lack of debate it looks like they'll be doing the same as all the rest of their fans... nothing!

If they go to the wall, get liquidated and die again, will they start in the bottom tier again?

It they are lucky....again. Starting a new club in the bottom tier required a number of rules to be ignored, although with the precedent set there won't be much opposition

Just read on twitter that the ref for the Scottish cup semi, in Ibrox, is a The The Rangers season ticket holder.

    How lucky.

    What do you mean "again"?

    What do you mean "again"?

You know what I mean. If the current Rangers get liquidated like the last one, if a Rangers Mark 3 are formed will they likely face starting in the bottom tier like Rangers Mark 2 did.

He is, he's also known to participate in the odd Orange march.

RANGERS: Bell; Foster, Mohsni, McCulloch, Wallace; Aird, Hutton, Black, Smith; Law, Daly

SUBS: Simonsen, Clark, Faure, Shiels, Gallagher

That's a pretty average line up, no inspiration at all.
Two holding midfielders and two left backs...
