I presume she claimed off his insurance which has to cover passengers injuries . This is fairly common.

You don't think that 16K is fair compensation for not being able to go shopping that day? :o

Wtf that's worse than drunk slane girl who impaled herself ;)

No damage other than a bump ,husbands car had previous damage no proof of speed ,nobody else injured multiple passages in both cars ,and a previous payout for a similar accident ,

Honestly where do they find these judges

Doesn't matter who the company is, they will all pay out if they deem everything to be above board.

They will pay out because of the court ruling; not because they deemed everything to be "above board".

    She took Liberty there.

She agreed she had a similar claim to this one 14 years ago but did not remember the details of it.

    Hmmmmm.....

She seems to have an awful run of luck that she has to sue drivers multiple times

The court awarded the money based on the evidence submitted. If you have evidence to the contrary of that submitted then you should submit that to the relevant authority and redress the miscarriage of justice you obviously believe has taken place.

Apologies for correcting the error in your post. I didn't think you'd take it so bad! :o

Julia Ward (31), Blackberry Lane, Athlone, Co Westmeath.... did not know what speed her husband was travelling at.

    I loled
She agreed she had a similar claim to this one 14 years ago but did not remember the details of it.

    I sighed.

Motor assessor Martin Nagle, who examined both cars a few days after the accident for Liberty Insurance, said the damage to the Ford Fiesta was the type one might get when you bump another vehicle while parking.

Some of the damage on the Ward's Hyundai seemed to be older than a few days, he said.

based on the evidence in the article it reads like a scam.

Too may loose ends and unknowns. the judge erred badly imo
