i have a wireless printer installed on a vista machine which is on a network with a seven machine. does the printer have to be installed on the seven machine too in order to print from the seven?

should i not be able to print over network?

You could share the printer on the vista machine and then connect to it as a network printer on the win7 machine using the name \\vistamachinename\printersharename you'll still need to install drivers on the win7 computer.

It would make more sense to add the wireless printer directly on the win7 computer though.

Either way, you'll need to install drivers on the win7 computer.

What is the make/model of the printer?
