Most annoying Actor/Actress and why.

I don't normally feel opinionated enough to dislike any particular actor or actress and whilst I certainly have my favourites this is not the mission of this thread.

However about a year or two back I sat through what I can only describe to be the most annoying, irritating, pretentious performance by an actor or in this case actress that I had ever seen. Before I tell you the movie let me say it wasn't the actual theme or vibe of the film,it was solely the acting.

Ok the Film was called JUNO and the annoying smart ass playing the lead role was a teenager called Ellen Page. Now I have learned since that this movie polarises opinions and lots of people rate it highly,that's fine.

Anyway last night I watched another movie called "Hard Candy" and as I am not great with faces I didn't immediately recognise that the very irritating pretentious OTT smart assed kid was once again Ellen Page only this time she annoyed me even more than the first time.

The exaggerated sarcasm, the nasally tone of her voice, the sheer faces she pulls, the pathetic attempts of dry wit, the body language and the self assured smugness just made me cringe from start to finish, what an annoying *****!

Anyway please tell me who drives you crazy as an actor or actress in what film and why.

Jennifer Lawrence. She tries way too hard.

Edit: The annoying part is millions of people lapping it up and loving her! (Isn't that always the annoying bit?)

Why do people get annoyed about this? Really, why? I can think of a thousand and one to get myself annoyed about if I was that way inclined, but people that have no bearing on my life? Away out of it!

I've always found Reese Witherspoon irritating but Walk The Line made me dislike her even more. I just couldn't take her seriously as June Carter.

There are some actors/actresses that I wouldn't be drawn to watching, but none that really annoy me. It's too easy to avoid them for them to be any kind of irritant.

If someone you don't have to ever see is annoying you, it's your own fault for watching them.

I do take your point but as the post says I am not great with faces and tbh I was finished the movie before I realised they were the same actress although I did have my suspicions.

Zooey Deschanel....for the characters she plays. Always plays the same kind of girl 'I don't need a man to be happy because I'm so quirky'. Cue film where her character dates a load of men.

Desperately trying to be different to everyone else + not really being different to anybody else = bull****ter

She's probably a lovely girl, but by god she irritates the crap out of me!
