    http://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancercauses/othercarcinogens/athome/talcum-powder-and-cancer
    Does talcum powder cause cancer?
When talking about whether or not talcum powder is linked to cancer, it is important to distinguish between talc that contains asbestos and talc that is asbestos-free. Talc that has asbestos is generally accepted as being able to cause cancer if it is inhaled. This type of talc is not used in modern consumer products. The evidence about asbestos-free talc, which is still widely used, is less clear.

Researchers use 2 main types of studies to try to determine if a substance or exposure causes cancer.

One type of study looks at cancer rates in different groups of people. Such a study might compare the cancer rate in a group exposed to a substance versus the rate in a group not exposed to it, or compare it to what the expected cancer rate would be in the general population. But studies of people can sometimes be hard to interpret, because there may be other factors affecting the results that are hard to account for.

In studies in lab animals, other factors are easier to control for, but it's not always clear if the results in animals would be the same in humans.

In most cases neither type of study provides definitive evidence on its own, so researchers usually look at both human and lab-based studies.

Is it like a branch of Lush? :pac:

I had little bars of rose soap in fancy paper that someone gave me sometime, but was advised by my granny to put them in drawers so they scented my clothes. Who wants rose scented t-shirts?

My granny hasn't gotten to grips with fabric softener yet.

Hell yes. Cant beat the old bar of imperial leather. Nothing nice then the smell of it when you take it out of its wrapper.
That fancy dan liquid soap in a dispenser is just a fad.

    Lush? Is that a shop?

I have Imperial Leather soap and a bottle of Old Spice. If I could just find a man who smokes vanilla scented tobacco in his pipe while sipping whiskey after a salty swim, I think I would swoon altogether.

I had it used on me about a decade ago for an 'intimate' shave pre abdominal surgery. I'm shuddering at the memory of that day. It's not fun laying back legs akimbo being shaved and making awkward small talk with a nurse who is shaving your va jj with a razor blade.

I just got an exfoliating one the other week, it's quite nice. It really does dry the skin out but plenty of body lotions be grand

it's the small talk that really makes that horrifying. "Going anywhere nice on your holidays?"

I use talc, bar soap (lush), shower gel or body lotions in different combinations depending on my mood and what kind of day it is. I just like having the options.

On a hot day it's nice to put a little puff of talc in your socks (if you wear runners constantly like me) keeps your feet fresh and sweat free

Never had a fisherman's friend in my mouth but I'd say it would taste awful.
