There's €200 tax on it, so effectively a €500 car. With a full years NCT. And very comfy at that too. Great find!

    My ads on adverts.ie:

Victron stuff for sale, Multiplus-II, Quattro, other inverters and batteries and usually some watches!

One of my better finds: '04 BMW 525i E39, 1 owner from new, NCT 03/15, just 72k miles, asking €2,250. Surely he's not gonna say no to €2k cash...

I've been eyeing that up for the last week. Unreal value in it.

Definetely if you showed up with 2k in hard cash he'd be doing a deal straight away.
    Dare I say it, 1.9k?
To be fair though, it isn't "very high spec" as the centre console is all manual and no heated seats from what I can see.
Not high spec, but quite standard spec if anything.
For a 04 though, very good price.

Only slight annoyance with that car is - its the last of the line of one of the best all time saloons.

    With very low mileage.

Would seem a shame to horse it around the place as a daily :(

Poor thing needs nurturing loving care :(

    Nice car though

    No link.

Never liked the coupe version of that C class. Doesn't look right.

Agree with you that they're not the best looking but someone might like it!

It's good bangernomics for sure! It's a lot of car for the money. If it was four door i'd be keen on it myself.

I prefer the coupe. If I didn't have a car I would buy it.

I'd not bother with one of those C-class mercs in that era.........they're a sh!tbox to be fair.

True. Brutal cars. Plagued with faults.

Most diesels were at the time :p

It is one of the more refined diesels of its time though.

Also unbreakable. The engine and box will keep going long after the car dissolves.

now lads, the criteria for bangernomics is cars you would actually drive yourself..........like in all fairness, would be be seen driving these chickenhouses round the place....?

Like what kind of signal would you be sending out to friends and family?

    Good lord.........

Id drive them if I couldn't afford anything better! Id have the avensis over the fiesta though.

They're not so bad that id rather walk.

If I was stuck for cash, needed a cheap reliable piece of transport with a long NCT I'd drive the Carina. I'd bet it would clean up ok and if you stuck a set of hubcaps on it would look respectable enough.

It's not flash but it would do a job. I bet it sells easily enough.

I would drive either of those without any hesitation.

Wouldn't be the first on my list, but I would drive them. Both cheaply priced with NCT/and tax.

    I've had so much worse.

Opps my bad, I had my OH's Avensis in mind as she has a 2.0TD one which was also a bangernomics purchase. It was bought with the sole purpose of being a simple and cheap to run car. Not stylish but like that Carina it serves a purpose.

Where is CHP, I thought he'd be all over that!
