How did they even manage to hoist it like that? Unless they happen to have an IC flag in their arsenal and pulled it out by mistake..... what's the chances??!!

The green part is always or should be always be at the pole for the Irish flag. Otherwise it's a different flag.

Hardly. But if you're going to do a simple thing like flying a flag the least you can do is get it right.

Thing is, it's clearly NOT our flag. It would have the loops for hoisting on the green side if it was. As I and someone else pointed out, it's the Ivory Coast flag.

Same difference, though - they ballsed it up, shouldn't happen. And where did they come up with an Ivory Coast flag anyway???

Good spot though, the proverbial man on a galloping horse wouldn't have seen it :D

Sure turn the French flag sideways and you have the Dutch flag.

The fleg of norn ireland isn't there either, the st patricks saltire should be the fleg that is flown for st patricks day everywhere instead of the tri colour fleg

Really makes me sad the amount of people who are so dismissive. No, it's not the most important thing in the world, but if we are supposed to be a proud nation we can at least have some interest in our flag on our national holiday. Oh sorry, I forgot, it's only an excuse for another piss up.

I wonder how many people who don't give a fvck suddenly become patriotic the next time Ireland plays a silly football match.

That kind of attitude does my head in.

I couldn't work with someone who doesn't give a flying fúck.

    Indo covering it, incidentally...

Humourless hotel-speak at it's finest, from The Westin management:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have contacted the hotel to have this fixed.

Get a step ladder, go in and fix it, and you wont be below par in work worrying about it so.

It's funny how people can be so passive about something like this and then throw a hissy fit when foreigners refer to the Irish as a bunch of thick Paddies.

What do you expect when so many people dismiss the idea of religion? If there is no sacredness then there is no culture.
