I disconnected the EGR on the Daily the other day. MPG's seem to have drastically improved.... A journey that normally takes half a tank now takes a quarter and a bit  much more responsive, less throttle needed to keep it at speed.... Feck all smoke from it either!

The valve itself works correctly, opens under vacuum, closes otherwise. Solenoid also working fine. So it was working as it should

Why are these c*nts of emission controls on vehicles??!!!!:mad::mad:

More testing will have to be done next week.... It used to average 19mpg

Have a look at the hazy pictures of Paris over the past 5 days and you'll understand why they are there.

Anyone know what tyre pressure I should have in 2012 Octavia 1.6 diesel. Can't find anything in manual

I think there about 32psi you'll find the exact figures either around the driver door when its open ie on the pillar that seperates the front and rear door. So open the door and look to the left. Or it would could have a sticker on the inside if the fuel door. Again open the fuel door and look on the inside.

Quick question for you, A buyer from NI wants to keep the VLC when I sell him the car. Should I do that??? He says he won't get it posted to him as he's not from ROI. Is this true?

He is going to need the VLC to register it in the UK.

I have done it in the past, give it to the buyer and have them sign a receipt.

If I can get over my laziness I'll go out and check but anyone know if pedal rubbers are generally one size fits all? I know there'll be some variations...

Generally no, you buy specific ones for your car.
Does the Leon have shiny pedals already?

"tight as a drum" was the quote from the NCT tester, i doubt i'll be putting it through another NCT though.

Nope, neither did the GTC but I got OPC/VXR pedals for it and they're quite nice so I'm tempted to make them fit. I took anything that wasn't properly screwed down out of the GTC. I have loads of bits and pieces I don't need that I added to it, mostly stupid little things but all OEM.

Might need a small bit of 'modification' but I'm sure they'll fit if you want them too.

Want to borrow an angle grinder:pac:

I expect the Leon pedals are the same as the Golf? If so.....

Does your Golf have the floor mounted accelerator pedal? Noticed that they've changed it from the last Leon to being hinged like the others.

Well whatever I end up getting, it's something that's going to have easy to change headlights. I'm sick of cars that take 20 minutes and a lot of swearing to change a H7 bulb.
