Get your hands on a tidy external hard drive. Relatively inexpensive, compact (iPhone sized) and lots of space on them. Lidl often have them.
    Plug in and back up!

Yeah, in up and down. In reality if ya need one just go and get one. Don't get too hung up on hackers. Let it be a lesson but in a heartbeat you can delete your own stuff or a simple crash and you can lose weeks of work. Back it all up and sleep soundly:)

Id recommend Dropbox to her, it's very handy as once its saved in there you can access it from laptop, phone or any other computer/tablet. Also means you can work on most recent edition all the time. Got it myself when doing thesis and it saved me so many times, as i used to always save to memory stick then id tip into college to do a bit and realise id forgotten memory stick :( also there sorta handy enough to loose/damage to....

As the lads say get an external and get into the habit of plugging it in every week or so, you can set them up to auto back up on a certain day if its plugged in handy enough

then when its in college and hucked up to there networks well that just like a kid in a sweet shops theres usually all kinds of crap in there waiting to infect macines

Dropbox is great. I submit my monthly reports via dropbox, pics and text. Great job.

GrandSoftDay has some gates he can sell you, only abused the once, hardly a mark on any straight bar.

Your a right funny man Darcy!! Them normal duty gates may as well be made out of bean tins. Not much use with a herd of limousins around. The bull just stuck his head through it, broke the bar and walked out through the hole relaxed as could be. Have heavy duty gates nearly everywhere now and the fancy old style ones by the road.
