Although Kanye West has his haters some of his music has been quite good. The album MY twisted dark fantasy was absolutely brilliant. HIS newest was complete crap.

Nicki has killed it on some tracks though. Her verse in Monster destroys the others (Jay Z, Kanye, etc) She's pretty much representing in the mainsteam female rap scene.

This is genuinely great.

The thing it its not just his fans. His fans would be the most critical of his work. The music industry in general would acknowledged any piece of his work as extremely important to the industry.

All that Mike Denver, etc. stuff really annoys me. It does not seem to know where it fits! One foot in folk, the other in boyband land. Call it boyband folk or hillbilly pop or whatever, the end result is cheesey horrible music. That song 'On your wedding day' defines the worst in contemporary Irish music surely.
