    14

During school lunchbreak I went to a friends house where we swiped vodka. I had it on the way back into school in my pot noodle pot (classy :o)

Was told it was an eventful afternoon in classes :p

Teenage drinking was always lots of fun. Some of the funniest times of my life. Worst part of it was lying down and everything starts spinning and then the puking would start.

I was 15 (the Summer after Junior Cert) when I first got drunk. And man did we have a right, good laugh. Myself and a few friends, a rake of cans down by the river (Menlo castle on the other side :) ) and a belter of a day. We had the craic.

12 or 13. Myself and my cousin necked a glassful of my folk's whisky each. After a half hour of hilarity she crashed out in my sisters bed and puked all over it then stumbled into my parents room and got sick all over that bed too. Myself and my sister got her into a wheelbarrow and were wheeling her into the bathroom to clean her up when my Mum got home. Surprisingly enough the **** wasn't too bad as my cousin's folks didn't go too ape.

School friends starting going to a pub in a nearby town which had a habit of serving kids, when we were all 16. Consuming pints was hard going, then someone introduced me to peach schnaps. Shure t'was like OJ...... later on I lost motor functions and coherent speech. Thought I'd never come out of it! :D

About 10 I think, drank Harveys Bristol Cream, was fine for a few minutes then started falling around the place.

The old man put me to bed to sleep it off.

8 or 9. I sneakily grabbed a couple of unfinished drinks from the table at a family Christmas do. Laughed for a while, fell up the stairs and was put to bed. Put me off drink until I was 14.

15 at a house party had 4 cans. Was a great night. Night my junior cert finished. Wasn't plastered. Just tipsy. The naggins of vodka came about 3 or 4 months later. Many a night spent down in the woods drinking.

    I was 15 and 3/4 :p

It was junior cert night and the drink of choice (cheapest sh1t we could get) was scrumpy jack golden @ £1.00

After about 7 cans I was looooaded.

    Good times

Used to steal sips Celebration Cream (sherry) from the drinks cabinet before I was 10. Got drunk for the first time at 11. A bottle of stolen Altar Wine - drank in about half an hour. Sorry God!

    19. Was horribly sick throughout my late teens so didn't get drunk for the first time until after the leaving cert, my friend's 18th. His parents had basically given him an open tab at a local offie (and I'm pretty sure a shneaky arrangement with them that they'd keep supplying after closing time, they knew the people) ;)

    Good times :D

First real p1ss up was in a local place known as the Starlight Lounge. It was in the corner of a church carpark where there were no street lights and it was hidden from the main roads. We had a four or five 2 liters of Bulmers cider and shared them out between about 8 of us. We were 15 and it was the summer of our Inter Cert (for the youngsters here that's the Junior Cert)
We walked out to a local castle ruins on the watersedge and I slipped on some seaweed I think.I don't remember much of the rest of the night. I got a massive bump on my forehead and had a major bout of the bedspins. It took some explaining to the parents the following day and I don't think they believed me at all but I didn't get into trouble for being langers the night before.
Didn't learn my lesson until about 3 years ago!

16 at my grandparents. cousins over from australia around my age give or take a year. Mother told me I could have one. I was okay with the one. But I had 2 and well I was suprising drunk with 2. A few months later I was knacker drinking with friends. I would often drink a shoulder of vodka or white rum and 2 cans of beer which left me absolutely wasted. No hangovers back then. Now all I need to do is smell the stuff to get a hangover.
    Getting old. :(

16 or 17, was working in a petrol station at the time. Sunday was the quietest day so my friend, who also worked there, and I decided that would be the day! In fairness it was a very quiet station, maybe 1 customer per hour or so. We both took an inch or so out of any bottles of spirits we could find at home or in relatives (being careful to top up with water!), mixed the whole lot together into 2 500ml coke bottles...Also prepared about 10 packets of silver mints to cover the breath smell so no one would know we had been drinking...oh the innocence...

Started about 1pm, just after the post mass rush of 3 cars was over. We poured out a good sized shot each and downed them off the head, just like the cowboys in the movies. Waited a while and nothing happened so had another, and another and another. Soon the bottles were empty but neither of us felt what we thought drunk should feel like, we took to running around the pump island to get the blood flowing and see if that would help...we needed to get drunk and then sober before going home at 6 so were trying to speed the process up...

I think I was the first to start puking. A car came in for petrol and I crunched down on a few silver mints to freshen the breath. Was feeling a bit wobbly but got a tenners worth into yer mans car, first puke just as he pulled out.

Things sort of degenerated after that, don't remember a whole lot of the rest of the afternoon. Do remember a guy looking for a full tank, things were really getting sloppy at that stage and I was leaning on the filler nozzle to keep myself sort of standing which resulted in the nozzle getting jammed in the filler pipe. Took a few good yanks to get it out, when it did come out it did so suddenly and I fell over backwards with a spray of petrol following me. The rest of the afternoon was a mixture of crunching silver mints and puking silver mints and stomach lining...was a very long time before I touched spirits again...

I had always thought that altar wine was de-alcoholised, but a google search tells me that it's not the case. You learn something new everyday as they say :/

I was 19 when I first got properly drunk (as in not just tipsy). I apparently told a classmate of mine, who was hosting a house party, that I fancied him (this would have been before I ever came out to anyone). Worse still, I got so bad that he and another friend had to take me home. :o To top it off I had to meet him a day or two later to get my phone back as I had managed to lose it at his house.
