Well brought it to a mechanic and he loosened it for me :o

I remember now why I hape back brakes so much:mad::mad::mad: they do sweet fúck all so they start to seize up. People don't notice because they do f/a and then when the pads do wear out the sliders are seized and the pistons won't wind back in:mad::mad::mad: I also don't have a wind back tool which makes the job even worse than it otherwise would have been. I'm supposed to be in collage at 2

Not the silver ones anyway... The black can look ok... Sometimes. But you need to do the rest of the front end to reduce their impact.

I'm with OSI though, no. :)

Oh don't get me wrong, total faith in it! I was looking at the parcel shelf and just thought "a fire extinguisher would look decent on that" Probably the most pointless thing I've ever bought, but I bet it will come in useful, Also shopping around for new or part worn tyres to fit 225/45/17 alloys, (yes the new ones are going on :pac:) Big Nasty I'm looking at you ;)

Not a ridiculous thing to have in a car to be honest.

I have a fire extinguisher in the focus (says it all really :pac: ) ah no I can't actually remember when I put it in probably when I bought it. I have a few of the storage boxes in the back with literally anything that could be one day useful in them. No harm being prepared.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,306 ✭✭✭Mycroft H

New job is tiring, interesting and a little bit overwhelming for the first week. But I'm getting there. Enjoying myself and already eyeing cars to buy.

    Exactly! It's a practical addition

Fire extinguisher should be secured by a bracket in the passenger footwell.
Safe and ease if access, come on lads!

    We're not all Japanese :pac:

But I'm playing around with a few locations, I'll stick it on the list, next on the list is ball joints so that should be fun

I actually have too much stuff in mine. I don't know what I'm going to do when I buy a car with a normal size boot I'll have to prioritise a bit.

Went back driving the focus at the weekend. It was almost depressing in a way. 2 reasons the octavia is doing almost 10mpg more than it  and then I was in town Saturday and had my foot to the floor in 3rd on the ring road in Kilkenny and looked down at the clock in the focus and I genuinely thought there was something wrong with and then I struck me that it just can't pull anywhere near as much as the octavia :( the focus felt grand upto now but just feels abit slow after the octavia even though the octavia doesn't feel quick  until you get over 2000 revs or so It's a really sad day when I think a 1.9tdi is quick :) (gets coat )
