I knew your man who led the gang that rick hid from under the bed would show up again. Jeff Kober is too good an actor for them to bother casting him for a 5 minute scene in one episode. I wonder will he bring out Daryl's dark side. :P

I was a little bored by the Maggie/Bob/Sasha thing. I feel like the ground they covered could have been done in half the time. Too many long pauses and pointless scenes eating up time.

really enjoyed that one, Bob's character needed some fleshing out.

Poor Beth, just when Daryll was gonna score too :D

Ditto. The first scene which showed us Bob meeting Darryl and Glenn was great.
Another strong episode in my opinion - this whole half of the season is dedicated to developing the characters a bit, so those who keep expecting some epic edge of your seat action packed episode, are going to continue being disappointed.

Yeah, I'm already in game of thrones major character death mode, when i saw the start with Bob on his own and looking depressed and getting drunk, i thought Maggie and the other one were either after ditching him for some reason, he'd been bitten or they were dead! hehe, only when i seen Glenn and Daryll come up and ask the Rick Questions did it put it together :)

Have the scriptwriters just forgotten Beth is meant to be 17? I know Emily Kinney is 28, but considering last season they made a subplot of a prison inmate making lecherous advances on her, it's a bit rich that it's suddenly ok. Personally I found all those longing glances at the kitchen table a little creepy tbh, no matter how dreamy Daryl's meant to be. Beth's a teenager people, let's try to remember that :)

Anyway, otherwise I enjoyed that episode, and similar to last week it shed some light on hitherto thin characters: Bob and Sasha came out pretty well in that story, particularly Bob who now shoots up the list of favoured members of the cast; he seemed both hopeful yet capable and had a good attitude that made a refreshing change to the morbid misery-guts that pervade the cast. In fact he came across quite strong in terms of potential leadership. His little attempt at romance was nice too because it seemed born out of 'sure you never know' optimism rather than the kind of stars-aligning bullsh*t hollywood likes. Sasha was uninterested? Ah sure, no worries, soldier on. I like Bob :D

I see peoples criticisms of the last two episodes but honestly, the show needs some solidity put onto the characters; don't forget, it's not that long ago we had the likes of T-Dog as one of the main cast; a character who had almost no personality, no lines, no backstory, yet conspired to be a headline member of the group. It seems the writers are realising they can't just have a queue of walker chow for the sake of it (even if that's precisely what they did with the refugees from Woodbury) and I for one am glad to see these episodes take the time to get to know the likes of Beth, Bob & Sasha. It's sorely needed.

Some awful writing in that episode. Daryl opening the door wide open the 2nd time especially. Bob on a mission to find Maggie so she's not alone and in doing so leaves Sasha alone.... yep, makes perfect sense. Oh, and windows are always falling out of buildings on me.

Most episodes are really just filler, with just a few minutes in each offering a glimmer of hope that the next one is going to brilliant, in this case Daryl searching for Beth and coming across the bow and arrow bandits.

Was better as it was fast moving.

Didn't buy daryl just opening the door to the clearly hurt & whimpering dog, you could see all the walkers through the gaps in the blind!

Thought that was a great episode. And I haven't enjoyed much of this part of the season so far.

I'm on board with the character development, but there's something not quite right with the writing. Maggie's character seemed to flip flop within the space of 20 minutes from unhinged (ditching Bob, Sasha and the note smearing using zombie guts) to sane again.

Then there's Sasha. I understand how much she wanted to do her own thing out of fear or whatever, but I found her initial decision to set up shop in some deserted building AND ON HER OWN absolutely bizarre. Bob's willingness to leave her on her own in favour of chasing Maggie and getting to Terminus, even though he was clearly closer to Sasha, was equally just as bizarre to me.

I think the 2nd half of the season has been fine with me for the most part, probably because I only started watching it back to back yesterday. I can understand how someone would be frustrated watching these episodes from week to week. But this episode just seemed particularly half assed to me.

Better than last week but Bob leaving pretty Sasha on her own after kissing her to go after Maggie didn't make sense. Or Maggie lying down on the ground with walkers around her. Or Darryl running away from walkers in a huge house to an enclosed basement. Also Darryl's strange poncho/shawl ensemble at the start.
I liked the one eyed dog though, hope he makes a reappearance.

What was going on there? Was she just having a rest disguising herself with the dead?

I'm all for character development but I'm just getting bored. I don't need constant action, but I also can't be doing with these constant cliff hangers at the end of every episode. Its frustrating. Its fairly obvious this season will end with them all reaching terminus.
Which means the whole season will have been about their journey to Terminus, but when they finally get there we will have another x amount of months to wait before we get to actually see what its all about.

Ugh, I'm just fed up of cliff hangers.

Im going to try and wait until the last three episodes have aired so I can watch them in a row, its too disappointing watching them one at a time IMO.

Im all for slow paced character development, Im not a person that looks for all out action all of the time but the problem for me is that im just not interested in a lot of the characters due to their poor development.

I liked these new characters though, they seem realistic to me and not like the cartoonish entrance of Abraham and his group.

Re. Bobs decision to leave Sasha, I saw it as the other way round tbh; it was Sasha abandoning "the group" and essentially giving up, figuring there was no hope in continuing what she saw as a fools errand. Given the show has continuously punished those who halted their journeys to make roots and stay in one place, it seemed clear to me Sashas choice of an empty attic was to embrace defeat and the inevitable. Bob followed Maggie because down that path lay hope and the possibility of a new community. I think it made perfect sense in fairness: Bob was choosing life, Sasha choosing to survive and hold out.

Was looking for it... thanks :) Super song.

Much better episode this week. Fleshing out bob's story was long overdue. Also starting to like the characters that a couple of episodes ago I had zero interest in.

It's an 8/10 for me this week.

I really really really hope Beth didnt just drive off and leave Daryll.
There has to be another reason.
I want them two to happen so bad!

These last few episodes have really dragged. They could have done this character development faster. I am getting sick to death of the sight of train tracks. I just hope that all the money they saved by having so little action in these recent episodes, means that they have been saving up the budget for a couple of big action scenes in the last few episodes.

How is it that with all their runs from the prison when looking for food, they never saw these signs for Terminus before?

I liked the episode. Now to see where everyone is from. The guys Daryl met. The ones who kidnapped Beth. Which of them are from Terminus?

Is Rick's group on their way to Terminus as well? Can't remember

What was the story with Beth saying No in a freaked out way to Daryl's idea of shacking up in the Funeral home?
