Do you have a toilet brush? If not, how do you clear blockages?

I don't. This morning the toilet got blocked. I filled the toilet with water up to the rim, and the blockage cleared itself.

How do you clear your toilet blockages?

I generally use a brush to clean it and a plunger to unblock it, I find stuffing the brush down the toilet only makes the blockage worse :pac:

Why's that? Is there risk of 'blow back' or something?

I get my husband to clear it. Not sure how he does it, but I get 'the look of blame' for a while afterwards:(

A brush is for cleaning the toilet, not unclogging it. That's what a plunger is for!

I pretend I didn't notice it and hope the next person to use the toilet will clear it. This has worked for me so far.........

I stick a bin bag over an old mop and do it that way, it works.

I should really buy a toilet plunger one of these days.

Sort out your intestines and leave the lav to the domestic staff.

Wrap up an old copy of Viz Magazine and give it a good prod if it's a manageable load. Otherwise a tub of caustic soda will break it down.

I turn it inside out with it containing the blockage material and dispose of it.
