Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

ALWAYS REMOVE BATTERIES WHEN TRANSPORTING AEG's

    "Every day is a school day" as I learned when I finally took my AEG's out of my car boot. Normally I remove the batteries but was lazy after an intense CQB game last Sunday.

    Luckily there is no damage to the AEG but there's a scorch mark in the boot:eek:

    Too true, that's why I thought I'd pass on my misfortune:)

    Must have been a short circuit somewhere. Eventually stripped the AEG down to check it and decided to rear wire it.

    That looks like a bad battery connector (Charring present at the terminals) and a short, causing damage to the pack. Simply disconnecting the battery before transport is sufficient provided the wiring is up to standard.

    Lucky escape though!
