So what are Sky telling their loyal customers about this?? They advertise ITV as being available, does this only apply to ITV HD?

i think I seen them advertise UTV or ITV quite some time ago but it did state that available through "other channels" only.

No mention of any ITV channels on their website though.

Sky never advertised UTV or ITV as being part of their package. Imagining they did will not bring the ITV HD channels back.

Their "loyal" customers would be well aware that ITV is not, and never has been, available on Sky (in the Irish Republic).

Sky don't need to be telling them anything.

a sky box is not the best to get free to air channels and a lot of newer sky boxes wont work without the card to get free to air channels thats why its called a sky box for sky

I noticed ITV HD gone as as well the other day. Using a generic FTA box, done a manual retune last night. All the ITV regionals simply display as ITV HD, or UTV or STV. Any way of working out which of the ITVs are ITV London, without having to wait for a regional weather/news broadcast.

They should appear in the order listed on 11097 here. London is first.

I did a scan of the transponder to see if their full titles had been added which they haven't. But I got two extra channels called 21000 and 21010 but with No Audio/Video. 21000 and 21010 are the SID code numbers allocated to London and Granada respectively on the Flysat information. But they are not listed there yet under these channel names.

On 11068 London and Granada are still scanning as 20800 and 20810.

Something very weird going on. Just tried another rescan. As well as the above working channels there are now 2 blank placeholders
Label 21000 but SID 10000
Label 21010 but SID 12130
The 4 numbers I originally quoted above are SIDs

I had re-scanned those ITV HD channels during the week and the re-scan left me with the four stations as standard with channels with the labels 20800 and 20810 showing more ITV HD regions, but, with no EPG.

Another strange thing is that the channels with 21000 and 21010 written as their SID numbers are now blank on my Triax Combi-box for a few days now.

The current situation for now is that all my (as probably with yours) ITV HD channels are now within one solid block on your channel list with the numerical channel labels shown above on either side of them.

20800 and 20810 (London and Granada) are on another TP 11068 V 23000 but have no EPG data at all so are probably only temporary.

The channel labelled 21010 is gone now, 21000 still there.

yep I have it too (it was posted in the Arsenal-Everton FA Cup thread!) finally a HD signal that works - quite why none of the others work is what I'd like to know.

The transponder for UTV HD has a symbol rate of 22000. The symbol rate on the transponders carrying the various ITV HD channels is 23000. If you can add channels with that symbol rate to your receiver you can get them. Not all receivers can handle the 23000 symbol rate.
