I've Googled but can't find any monthly passes (either train or bus) that'll give you an umlimited monthly pass for travel between Galway and Dublin.

    Is there one?

And if there is, is it transferrable to another user during that month?

    Thanks for any help :)

Once you go further than Athlone, the fare is the same for an annual ticket. There is an annual all service ticket listed on the taxsaver site. Normally a monthly is 10% of the cost an annual but I can't see a monthly all-service. The cost is 4,400 euro.

I seriously doubt you'll get a transferable ticket.

An adult monthly ticket should be €790 for the calendar month.Use www.taxsaver.ie if your employer will facilitate this.

There may be a student ticket for €506. You would need a www.studenttravelcard.ie

The whole point of such tickets is that they can only be used by one person. You will need specific photo ID.

    Thanks folks.

Way more than I was expecting :o

The amount of times it'd be used would not be even near worth buying a monthly pass at that price

Guess best to just buy for individual return trips so.

Try and plan in advance and get the online offers when they appear.

Thanks. Knew alright there's online deals.

But unfortunately, the nature of the travel will mean there's not much notice given.
