yes, didn't Gerorge Clooney say he could play golf with his hands behind his back.

Fassy has pretty much shagged every young hottie in tinseltown by this stage (even if they're all Colin Farrell's sloppy seconds)

    :D

Sure that wasn't the former great leader of NK? Oh no, wait, he got like 5 holes in one in his round :)

Barry from Eastenders always exuded cool for me. Reminded me of young James Dean.

McConnaughy I don't know. Didn't see Dallas buyers club but in True Detective he does this over stereotype, macho, hard done by chain smoker semi intellectual, very deep kinda guy thing that is just too much for my liking. I don't buy it.

So he's playing the character exactly as it's written and you don't buy it?
I do see where you're coming from though, the character type has definitely been done ad nauseam. But what exactly do you want from a self contained (the story ends with the season) tv drama about flawed, world weary cops, in fairness?

I'm referring to his performance more than anything. I can't be arsed with crime drama generally (funnily enough, for the exact same reasons you gave) so if you manage to keep me watching your cop show right to the end then you must be doing something right. Ah well, you can't please everyone.

I will also technically have to disagree with you about Brad Pitt being consistent, I like a lot of his work but World War Z was hilariously ****e. Mr & Mrs Smith, anyone?

Oscar Isaac is very promising at the moment, hope he goes on to big things. Great in Inside Llewyn Davis and did wonders with what was a very small role in Drive.

    Hands down Leonardo.

I might have said fassbender as a runner-up but after the rubbish that was The Counsellor he is dead to me.

Gary Oldman and Jean Reno in Leon.
Johnny Depp - Always plays the nihilistic character down to a tee.
I seen a Glasgow film recently called the Wee Man, the story of Glasgow gangster Paul Ferris played by Martin Compton, the next day my brother put on a violent thriller called Piggy also with Martin Compton. Watch out for this guy we're going to see him in a few more films yet. A great actor and you could say he has a cool allure too.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

How is everyone saying Fassbender?he's painful, very uncool.his acting in the councellor was some of the worst I've seen in years. I'd say it's either Jeff Bridges,Javier Bardem of Christian Bale.that del Toro chap is pretty cool goo
