Yeah listening now. I've never heard either of them before so I've no opinions of then good or bad .

Yay! I'm so glad they're back on air. Listening in now, much more music and less talk then on the Cracked I - wonder if it's just cause it's the first night, or if that's what it's always going to be like?

I wonder has the huge negative reaction from the public about Will Leahy's axing damaged the relaunch of 2fm ?

You got the wrong thread, this ones about Bottom of the barrell.

I don't understand how people are still going on about Will Leahy's show being axed.

Fair few "technical difficulties" on the show so far tonight. The desk must be different in RTE ;) I wish they had called it the Late Late Show.

Its great that 2fm have live programs at night again and that they have hired young talent but the problem is its probably 10 years too late.

You turned off their show because they played The Script?! Sure every radio show plays The Script...

Anyways, I think the show so far is going great.. As someone above mentioned that it's about time RTÉ hired young presenters again especially at night-time then I think they got it fairly spot-on on with Ciara & Chris.

It'll take them a while to find their feet and they'll get more comfortable etc when they get settled in properly which might take a few months, but so far so good from both of them.

Listened to it last night and it wasn't bad until Gerry Ryan's daughter came on.

Used Dan Hegarty be on during this slot? Your man Chris is pretty funny and they seem like they have a bit of free reign on the show. Music isn't the best though.

if that was 2fms only problem they would be delighted i'd say. The cruise to snooze. I have vague memories of this bit.

Chris could carry a show on his own but his current co-host is grand. He's had worse. Hope they do well.

Dan Hegarty has moved to 1am-4am, Nobody noticed because indie radio is dead.

I really liked Dan's show, played some good tunes and it gets boring listening to the same chart music all day and all night. At least Today FM have their own alternaitve shows.

This show has big potential to be as popular as the blast with Ray & JP was 10 years ago, I can also see Chris and Ciara doing the breakfast show in a few years time. Why 2fm didn't hire bright young talent for the evenings/Nights during the 00s is beyond me.

love the fact they are taking the piss out of the licence fee and are trying to give it back.

Well after one week I'm liking it.

Only got to listen on Sunday and Monday - could anyone tell me if they've brought over many features from the old show?

Also, my god but the 2FM imaging is awful.

Yeah they badly need new imaging, they had a bed playing under the news yesterday, not sure if it's new or not but it sounded horrific. On the other hand I think they have the music policy spot on.

So it appears that someone named ciara loves Michael.

Listened in the other night out of pure curiosity and they really could not have picked a better name for the show. They sound ok but sadly they had nothing to talk about and I will never get that 30 minutes of my life back!

Michael Murphy the newsreader on 2fm ?

Seems like Sunday's show is going to have clips and best bits from the week, like the Friday night iRadio show was.

That is very lazy. If the target market of this show wanted to hear best bits, they would listen back online.

I must say I love this show. I think it is one of the better radio shows on the air these days. Usually at that time of night there is feck all decent on the listen to. The call from mark to do the quiz last week was really entertaining. Well worth a download of that podcast for anyone who hasn't heard it.

Most shows of that type which go live four or five days a week - as well as breakfast shows, drive time shows and others - would have a "best bits" show where people get to hear some of the highlights of the week.

It's a pretty standard thing to do - nothing wrong with it - particularly at the weekend when there may not be quite as many listeners or as much to talk about. I certainly wouldn't call it "lazy".
