That steering wheel looks very fresh on the Primera for 366k miles!

I was thinking that myself, Would have me thinking that the milage I've seen on lower milage ones are little fibs :p

Not if they have rough hands from certain trades like a brickie etc, don't let a shiny wheel put you off a low mileage car until you can establish this.

If you're not doing high miles it has to be the Mazda V6 all the way , can only appreciate from here.

That Mazda would be my favorite.
The Wagon R or the Space Runner for weirdness.

Yeah I like the Mazda a lot but what I'm looking for (I think, I'll no for definite by the end of today I hope) is something cheap that I can buy and drive for a month or so while I get a few small bits done to it. Then NCT it and flog it on cheap again when my new car is ready, hopefully not making a loss!

My favorites ATM are the Mazda, Xantia, SpaceRunner, Wagon R, 106 and then the Rover 600.

I'm really tempted by that hyundai sonata. ;)

But only to pull its leather seats and scrap the rest. :D

Gotta be the Mazda or the Xantia.

Where else can you get a V6 for 400 notes, 323F still looks cool too.

The 106 looks very clean and straight too. Cheap and cheerful motoring for 400 quid.

Mazda is sold! Not a surprise.

Hi folks, this is my BX GTi 8V. I've listed it here as it needs a few bits: Backbox is gone and 2 x balljoints have worn. The price reflects the work needed as when done, you'll have a low-mileage example of a rare but very usable car. There is 2 months of tax on it and you can drive it away, as is. Thanks for reading, if you're interested, just PM me.

They are great cars, I used to have one and actually went to see that red one about a year and a half ago. (when it didn't have that stupid "speed stripe")

Mileage was around the same iirc

He was asking 900 for it. It was very rough and I wouldn't have paid even 400 for it  (i walked obviously)

I used to have a mint, gorgeous Navy Blue one and sold it back in 06 for €700

How foolish I was expecting to find the same as my one!

Not to be picking or anything but Almera seems to be the most misspelt name in car history.
I don't get it either, it's dead simply but people love to through extra letters in there. :p

At 400 notes whats the worst that could happen? You break it and make your money back.

Go for it , there's money to be made with a test. On the e46

Ah I know but I have a lot of arranging to do to get down there as I'm car-less so I don't want to commit to anything yet until I get a small bit of info from him :)

I never knew that there was so much available on a budget of under €400!!! Lots and lots of good stuff coming up, However, if it is good it doesn't last long. Clearly people just waiting to jump on cars in this segment of the market!

Indeed. That 406 is prime. A months tax and loads of nct. They're fairly robust too. For 400 notes it's hard to say no.

My experience is that Irish people don't really bother doing emails or if they do they only answer them a week later. Begs the question of why they put email addresses in adverts but anyway....

You appear to be right  It'll be Saturday before I can go to look at anything so if it's still there I'll give him a call on Friday.

The only thing that would worry me is if the chassis legs are rotten otherwise an NCT fail isn't a biggie with these.

    Ripe candidate for a 85 16v swap :D
