I've realised I've had the same one for 14 years

    People still use mats?

I thought they disappeared when the quirky mouse ball was replaced by the red laser.

I got a pretty blue wolf one for work a few months ago from artscow, I don't use one at home, trackpad only

I've never had a mouse mat because I've always found them annoying. I don't like touch-pads either so I still use my trusty oul mouse, but on my desk.

I use a Logitech Marble Mouse trackball, so no mouse mat needed. Can't remember when I bought it, must be at least 8 years ago now. They're still selling them today. The ball is like a pool ball but slightly smaller = could be used as an offensive weapon in a tight spot.

I use a mouse with my laptop when I'm at home. Nothing unusual, I find touch pads to be a pain, mouse is much better.

Don't use a mouse pad though no use with optical mice and just get annoying.

I haven't used one in years- you can't beat a large flat surface.

    Hate track pads. Evil yokes.

Just looked down, don't have one. Never even noticed. Why do we need them again?

I still have one cause it has a wrist support, my mouse is a trackball - but nowadays my wrist hurts more when I use it so it's turned sideways. I always think my wrist might get better but it doesn't. I've had it for about 7 years.

Mouse mat? My leg is usually my mouse mat.

The dirt the mouse used to pick up from matts. The ball would be on bits or is this just me?

I got one in 1997. I still use it. Very heavy duty rubber backed mat. Gets cleaned weekly.

I'm more surprised that people use the mousepad on their laptops rather than people not having mousemats.

How can you actually use that all day without your handing turning into some sort of immovable claw??
Also, how much of your work is on your laptop?

I got my mouse mat free with Classic Rock magazine a little over four years ago. I kept in a drawer and didn't use it until about a year ago though. I need a new one now but never think of getting one.

I use a laptop but the touch pad has a mind of its own and it makes the cursor fly across the screen without me touching. I've disabled the touch pad and I always use the mouse.

If the devil had children, they would be laptop touch pads.
