    How Moral are you?

Is your honor important to you?

Do you consider yourself to be of good character?

DO you actively try to live a good person in life?

Are traits of positive character important to what you want to be ie. kindness, honesty etc?

I think personally my kindness is my virtue.

In life by others I am generally thought to be a kind natured person.

I have my own set of guidelines that work for me - most of which comes down to karma and not wanting bad mojo

Why are you posting this in AH at 3 in the morning?

In order to be a properly moral person you need a good philosophy to guide you. Personally I base all moral decisions on the teachings in this video. Hasn't failed me yet.

Maybe because 3am would be classed as AH

Maybe because AH deals with a wide variety themes and he wishes to strike up a debate.

I do judge a book by its cover.

I always look for the good in people.

I treat people the way I like to be treated myself.

Honour and honesty is a big thing to me.

Punctuality and respect for others is of upmost importance.

However.........there is no grey area with me. If after listening/knowing someone and they are not my kind of person, then they're gone. Not one second more thought is wasted on them.

Life is too short putting up with burdens or assholes.

And this is how you would like to be treated by others ? Judged and dismissed.

    what does honor mean?

I try to live my life by the word of God, i have alot of sexual lust in me that i need to try and manage better though. I wouldn't say i am honest as if i told people what i thought of them i would be having fights everyday. I try to be a better Christian but it is not easy in this day and age.

A lot of morals depend on circumstances. If you're starving you'll steal food or if your kids need new shoes and you can't afford to buy them you'll keep that fifty you found outside the store.

If we all put other peoples needs before ours then we will always have someone looking out for us. I don't mean 'always' put others peoples needs but it's something to keep in mind every day if you see a person in need or do something simple like helping an old woman cross the road. I am an atheist in case someone mistakes me for a good Christian.

In my opinion Morality is far too much associated with Religion. I prefer to be a person of, and be associated with people of Integrity.

The Forum on Spirituality has been closed for years. Please bring it back, there are lots of Spiritual people in Ireland and elsewhere.

Somewhat. Depends on how much **** being honorable will land me in.

Do you consider yourself to be of good character?

    Yes.

DO you actively try to live a good person in life?

    Actively no. Passively yes.

Are traits of positive character important to what you want to be ie. kindness, honesty etc?

Honesty and truthfullness. If you say you'll be somewhere at a given time. BE THERE AT THAT ****ING TIME. If you say you'll do something, then do it.
I don't associate with people who lie frequently.
People say i'm quite blunt, and that i'm "brick to the head honest".

Honey, does this dress make my ass look big.
no honey, your ass makes your ass look big.

I admire the person who can be honest, truley honest, in that situation and others.

Honesty is paramount to me - I abhor lying and am usually upfront and honest with people, even if it is to my detriment.

As regards kindness, I'm not an especially generous person to be honest, but I certainly think about other people's needs and feelings a lot and endeavor to treat them as I would wish to be treated. I will occasionally go out of my way to do nice things for people, but I would be lying if I said that I regularly sought out opportunities to do so.

I don't see the link between morality and kindness. Maybe I'm just missing something.

I'm fairly moral. Though I do steal a luas every now and again.

Do you do kind stuff without letting people know about it or are you one of those that likes to show off how kind they are?

Is there a bit of self loathing going on with the user name?
    Give fools a chance .

Better to please a fool than tease a fool?

    Neither, walk away.

I would've liked an option somewhere between the first and the second one. I try to keep the head down, be decent and do the right thing but I won't be canonised anytime soon either. I'm only human.
