Don't see what all the jubilation is about, who do you think replaces these guys?

Usually someone just as bad or probably worse.

    Veronica Guerin's family?

And you're a spokesperson for them?

John Gilligan is scum, no argument.
But since when is gun violence acceptable?
The scumbag who shot him could easily go on to shoot someone innocent next.

How did this story get released so quickly? It happened at 1900 according to he Indo and this thread started at 1935...did the Garda contact the media or something?

Just as long as it all happens far away from where you live it's okay I suppose.

The person who kills a guy like Gilligan becomes their probable replacement, is that win win?

Scum killing scum in a house filled with kids and innocent people attending a christening. I don't understand how anyone could celebrate such wanton acts of violence and disregard for the lives 3rd parties.

FFS now the gardai are at fault! There are plenty of people in clondalkin with mobile phones, 5 minutes and it would be all over the place. Are you anything to joe Duffy?

Exactly. Gilligan is nothing more than a has-been at this stage.

Not that I have much sympathy for him, he'd be no great loss, but his replacements have long since filled the void and some are indeed worse than him.

    Twitter etc..

I heard of a murder and a death in a fire locally before anyone could have informed next of kin etc. Both times before media release...which did follow quickly.

modern world ..modern way. everything is instant
