Hi purchased this tv from I bood and it is not shipped yet I purchases with the intention of replacing my Samsung LCD in the main viewing area with this smart tv and then using my existing tv in another room. Of course Sky will work, the Sky HD box is (or should be) connected via HDMI & has its own tuners, no need for the TV to also have a satellite tuner.
