sheep in slurry pit

    hypothetical situation (more virtual sheep:D)

    november 15th sheep break out and fall into slurry pit/slatted tank n drown can't get them out.
    can I should I spread the slurry now?

    I was watching a documentary a while back of a large intensive sheep farm in Canada. When a sheep died they were put into the middle of a enclosed concrete yard area buried in all the used straw bedding from lambing house . 1 year later no trace remained and was spread on land as manure. Area was enclosed with high fence so no scavenger could get at it.

    Great way to spread disease I would imagine

    Apologies, I wasn't giving a direct answer to lanos question. I was just referring to something that I thought was interesting on how they do things differently in other parts of the world. For anyone who's interested the guys name is Patrick smith . You'll find him on youtube. Seems to run a intensive sheep of 2,300 ewes in a very scientific manner.
