I work in a golf shop, sometimes they only last 8 months and others are lucky and get 4 years. Why not go for a lithium battery? 5 year limited warranty, quick charge and very light. Or an other option is a cell battery. The lead acid batteries are temperamental, very cold winters or hot summers can affect their live span if kept in a shed or garage. Also make sure your charger is not too old. Most people don't realise that if on constant charge for 365 days a year they work a lot of hours and might not work as good as they should. Sometimes the battery swells so the charger no longer cuts out.

I'm still using my original golf glider battery. About 10 years old now.
Used it for a couple of years and then I stopped using it for about 6 years preferring to use my pull trolley.
when I took it out it out again to use, it worked but only for a few holes.
My son changed the liquid and used a new charger to charge it and now it's back working for 18 holes again.

I'm beginning my 4th year with my standard battery on Motocaddy. Just played Esker Hills with Boards, lasted full 18 no problem but red light was coming on going up the hills & off again when flat or downhill. That's the first time I've seen the red light in a good while.

Golf Glider batteries are usually excellent.
I had one that only lasted around a year and when I went over to them to replace it, it turned out that the axle on the back was ever so slightly rubbing against the plastic hook that holds the handle in place, so the battery was having to work a lot harder as it was like having a brake on all the time. Its a 2 minute fix for them to do.
Maybe let Golf Glider have a quick look at yours in case this is happening ?

i had my golf glider for about 5-6 years and while the battery was still working, it was starting to get sluggish towards the end of an 18 hole round.

Rather than buying a new battery, I gave the whole lot to my Dad, went up to the attic and took out my old carry bag :)
