if the timer for the immersion is set to come on every morning at e.g. 7am to top up hot water if needed , will it (a) come on every morning no matter what the temp of the water is in the cylinder (so wasting electricity) or (b) come on only if the water needs to be heated. The cylinder is a Heat merchants Pro 300 solar, cant find any details about it other than the immersion is 1 x 3kw and that the heating time is 304mins.
