I want to be able to run 10 miles under and hour or close enough to it 75 mins

    I want to be able to run 10 miles close enough. To an hour 60 to 75 mins range I would be happy my training. Goes like this I run 3 days a week one day inteval training 1500 meters then 3000 meters and a 5km the last day I.have enproved my speed and endurances doing.this program my times are 1500 best time was 6:06 5km 24 mins but have done better before just back from injury my new program will be like this interval training. 3x800 one 5km and one 10km will. This help me get to my goals

    Just google 10 mile training plans..and start off with a novice plan, can't go wrong really.

    Hi Jason, no offence intended, but it's hard to follow your post, because of the random sprinkling of punctuation. I'd imagine it's because of posting from your phone, but folks will be less willing to reply, if they struggle to understand the content of the post.

    If your goal is 60 -75 minutes, that's a pretty huge spread. Based on your current times, you would be a long way off a 60 minute 10 mile. Your current time for the mile is probably around 6:20, so stringing together 10 miles at 6 minute mile will be a massive struggle. A 75 minute 10 mile would mean running 3 x back to back 23:26 5Kms (which is faster than your current 5K PB) so that is a little bit beyond your current capability also.

    The best thing to do is forget your time targets for the time-being, follow a structured plan, and decide on your goal as you make progress through the plan. Hal Higdon offers plans for Novice, intermediate and advanced runners, so that might be a good starting point.
