shes airplane hot, in the real world she doesn't hold up

I always suspected, I didn't live in the real world.

The wouldn't have had nearly enough for all the pax. The cabin crew also would likely have been breaching aviation safety regulations by doing so and could well have lost their jobs/been prosecuted. Airlines aren't allowed dispense food/beverages while grounded as it could impede disembarkation.

I disagree with the not having enough comment. No way for either of us to prove that tho so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Can you quote said aviation safety regulations?

This was clearly the airports fault!
They should have never have let the passengers board if they were just going to piss off! I doubt the Ryanair staff enjoyed it and MOL will be having words with the airport management after this. I apologise that I have not taken this chance to bash ryanair!

What positives? The fact they got off the plane 4 hours later or are we still talking about the 2.13 bird?

one of passengers said on the video that there were babies on board, if so they may have been distressed

Six hours without food and water is nothing really. The staff were clearly under orders and the airport f'd up so I wouldn't blame Ryanair for all of this.

    I suggest you try it.

Then try it cooped up in a plane seat.

Then try it again cooped up in a plane seat dog tired at 3.00 a.m after being told a pile of lies, with a load of people around you shouting and getting stressed out, and see what it's like.

    You'll soon change your opinion.

The positive that I wasn't stuck on the damn thing will do for now. Also I meant the bird. I thought she looked pretty fine. :)

Ryanair staff should have realised (I think they knew all along) that the plane was going nowhere and should have gotten somebody to open the terminal so people could get inside. And yes, this is possible, my gf was in a situation like this in Hamburg few years ago (not Ryanair or Aer Lingus) , they got security pretty quickly and opened the terminal up. Food and drink arrived after a while.

I presume the plane couldn't take off after a certain time because of restrictions on noise etc. but there's no need to keep people on board for that length of time, if there is, then just tell them the truth from the beginning. Badly handled by Ryanair here. Hope they learn some lessons.

They tried and it clearly wasn't possible to open the terminal. You talk as if they wanted to keep them all on board and stay with them.
The ground handlers let them board the plane, closed the airport and pissed off but the fuel never arrived.

The terminal building had to be broken into by the police.

    Here's Ryanair's statement:
Due to strong winds across the South of England (14 Feb) over 20 airlines were forced to divert into Stansted from Heathrow and Gatwick airports which significantly disrupted handling and fuelling operations at Stansted. This Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Porto was delayed by the weather disruption and a subsequent fuelling delay at the airport.

After approximately two hours waiting for fuellers, the Captain requested the handling company (Swissport) to allow the passengers into the terminal which was locked. The Captain switched on the aircraft’s air conditioning while waiting for Swissport staff to arrive and the cabin crew provided water to passengers. When Swissport failed to arrive the Captain requested the police to let the passengers into the locked terminal. The police subsequently arrived and allowed the passengers into the terminal. Passengers were then provided with refreshment vouchers on Ryanair’s instructions.

The aircraft departed the following morning at 7.50am. Ryanair sincerely apologises to all passengers on this flight who were affected by this delay.

    Ryanair wishes to correct several false claims in relation to this incident;
    • The claim that passengers had to call the police is untrue – the Captain called the police.
    • The claim that the air conditioning was not switched on is false – the Captain switched on the air conditioning.
    • The claim that passengers were held by Ryanair against their will is false – the Captain made every effort, first with the handling agent (Swissport) and then with the police, to arrange for passengers to be allowed into the terminal which was locked.
    • The claim that passengers were not provided with refreshment vouchers or water is untrue – Ryanair crew provided water to passengers on board and refreshment vouchers were issued to passengers following disembarkation.

the Ryanair statement is fair enough, but i bet there wasn't much communication between the captain and the passengers. Which would have cooled tensions a bit. Also i think the police should have been called much sooner

Loving the people sitting comfy at their computer saying it was no big deal. i'm sure you'd despise that situation and be just as pissed

Never let an opportunity to have a dig at Ryanair go a miss (even when half a glance would have told you that the the handling agent was at fault). God, some things never go out of fashion!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.
