I did a bit of snooping, I don't think he owns it at all. It's the family who bought it.

Reckon it's a clever marketing ploy to use the family run hotel blah blah
Had to be huge money behind him.
But i do hope the hotel makes it !

Do you see those napkins in a "fan" on the tables there.

I worked in a very posh hotel when I was 17 and every year at Christmas I impress my family no end by doing dem ;)

Many thanks everyone for tuning in again this year. We were very late filming this series so not possible to do a follow up visit for the end of some of the programmes. We appreciate all your comments and look forward to series 7. John Brennan.

It's a nice looking hotel, but there's gorgeous hotels up and down the country that look really well but still arent selling rooms...

I'd say amdub is right about the parents footing the bill.... She's not right about much but I guess even a broken clock is right twice..

Thanks John, it's very decent of you to take the time to come on here every year. No other RTE people ever do it!

    Good luck with Series 7.

Any chance of a revisited style few episodes. Grand designs style. Quick recap followed by a new visit and catch up. Could do a few in each episode. Show what has worked and what hasn't and who followed through.
