Nice ride serious! I'm not sure what the tolerances are in motards but that chain looks pretty slack to me

New Oil, Oil Filer, Air Filter & brake pads fitted over the weekend.

Noticed that one of the R clips needs replacing as it was bent out of shape by someone. Quick google search comes back with a few places selling an OEM Suzuki one for €5 plus between €15 and €18 for delivery! €20 for a small R-Clip! I'll need to find a place local to me selling them, probably pick up a generic one for €1.

Replaced the stock handlebar grips with some heated grips (a bit of dremmelling required) and wired in a usb port for charging the satnav, also bolted the passenger footpegs back on for strapping the bungees to.

Tomorrow I will replace the wobbly mirrors on the beasht and then a change of coolant a bit of chain lube and she should be ready for the off.:D

I haven't even seen either of mine in about a month. The joys of doing up a new gaff while they are parked somewhere else!

I know the feeling. Was probably the biggest deciding factor in not changing. It now lives 4-5 miles away in the father's since I moved to the city centre. Nowhere for the bike that would last a week. Any popping in town or commuting gone. It really is a weekend toy now. Weather is cack too. Dangerous to be pushing on too.

Its all wrapped up and up on alu stands

Went out for a spin on my little bike on Sunday, 6 hours total. Went through Meath, Westmeath, Offaly, Laois and Kildare. Two new tyres on her and it was pretty close to perfect. :D First proper spin I've been out on in ages.

Have bought a little Aprilia RS125 to race this year, so been busy with that. Fairings have been sent off to be painted, tools on the way to get the flywheel off so I can sort out the starter motor, new battery ordered, new tyres bought last week. She's good to go except needing a little track time to adjust the carb a bit. Excited :D

Blew the fuse for the instrument cluster, so I the digital speedometer, clock and petrol gauge didn't work. I figured I could guess my speed based on what gear I was in and the rev speed. This was thrown out the window when I realised the rev counter wasn't working either. Only option left was to guess speed based on gear and engine noise.

Then I discovered another secret option - not caring what speed I was doing

I ran a bobber for years without any speedo what so ever, very liberating :D

I rely entirely on engine noise.... Just got a new speedo drive the other day for having to do the test where I might need to know what speed I'm going.....

Finally got the crash damage from the end of November fixed up.

Put on new alternator cover and oil seal, refilled engine with oil, put on new gear and clutch levers, got damaged fairings back on the bike, and I'm back on the road!!! :)

Here's the alternator cover which wore through when I crashed and let all the oil out. If it hadn't been for that, the bike would have been rideable, but I had to get it recovered.

My bike, and yes I know what happened ~ I hit the ground very bloody hard lol.

No real damage and just a few bruises :o

Changed the fork seals on the Sprint and put in a heavier oil...no dive on the bike now and its stopping in a heatbeat now with the HH pads and the braided lines. The oil that came out was a disgrace, like thick black gravy!!! Plus one of the forks was only half full of oil and the spring was upside down from a previous owners ?DIY job.

I knew it was not tipping in right from the day I bought it.

Decided to finally get around to fitting a speedo drive so I hopefully can sit the test soon. So got that sorted handy enough and decided to clean the brakes after a long winter of neglect while I was at it. Dropped a brake pad and it came off the backing plate... :( No bike shop in Cork has the brakes in stock today! Need to wait til tomorrow...

I'm never cleaning anything again :(

Just the one. You wouldn't want the loan of a pair of speedos
